So did the crashing start when you installed the new drivers or did you do that after you started getting the crashes?

It started after I got the new drivers but that could merely be a coincidence, I'm not sure. I have often had moments in D3 since it's released where the game would freeze for a split second, again very random it could be in the middle of a fight or just running along minding my own business. That's all it would be though, a very quick pause and no more. It seems now when that happens, the game crashes instead of stabilizing again. This is still happening I'm afraid, here's a rundown of what I have done:

Complete reinstallation of D3.
Tried 4 different previous sets of drivers, clean installation each time as opposed to upgrading.
Updated BIOS.
Ran 15 stress test with Furmark, no crashes. GPU temp reached 85 degrees.

It's just very frustrating, the only thing that's consistent about the crash is that it happens about every 10 or 15 minutes. Doesn't matter if I'm in town doing nothing or out taking on a mob it can happen in either scenario. Thank you for your suggestions on this by the way.

Hi

Recently returned, played with a friend last night, we played on normal and blasted the first act away (120k dps wiz) we had a ton of yellows and about 3/4 legendaries drop

After that, i played T1 solo act 2 and had absolutely nothing drop, maybe an occsional yellow off the elite packs. (treasure goblin dropped nothing at all - compared to 3/4 yellows when playing normal)

it didnt make sense really?

Quite new to the game myself but I have noticed that on Torment you only seem to get drops from object destruction/chests/champion/elite/bosses

Drops from normal enemies seem to be less frequent in Torment

The way you have to look at it if this is the case you either A. get more drops and less xp or B. get less drops and more xp

Would be nice to see the clan cleaned up a little and maybe do it on a request basis through this thread or a d3 clan thread.

Then we should end up with just active/regular members in the clan :D

I'd like to join the OcUK d3 clan/community shame its full I play DH fairly regular and do t2 pretty easy with 140k paper dps

I've been trying to figure that out to and I narrowed it down to this:

1. Skills are good! I always liked Diablo 3's game mechanics and skill system, but in vanilla the skills were pretty unbalanced where as now it feels like there are a lot more valid build options.

2. Items are good! In Vanilla 90% of my items were bought off the marketplace because item drops were broken as hell. I never even saw a set item in hundreds of hours and legendaries I saw maybe 2. Couple that with the moronic stat system (items dropping for my wizard with dexterity) and the likeliness of you getting something better than you could pick up on the AH for cheap was just so remote.

This sounds quite promising and might even persuade me to get the add-on at some point!

One thing that has always annoyed me though is the weapon choice - am I right in thinking that the base DPS is still largely dependent upon the weapon in hand as opposed to being biased towards that classes "usual" type of weapon? (ie. a Wizard can wield an axe that gives a higher DPS than a wand?)

This always seemed a bit daft to me as I don't like the idea of using just any weapon over those that are clearly designed to be used by your class!

Yes, but then I like the option as a Wizard of walking round with a sword and shield if I want. Diablo has never been limited by weapons as such, Wizards could wield axes in D2 as well if they wanted. Limiting it would mean less weapon options and even less likeliness that a drop would be useful to you.

I know what you mean, it's not a bad thing per-se, it's just I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to ARPG's and I tend to find myself wielding a lower DPS wand with my Wizard than a ruddy great axe that doesn't "fit " the character! :p

There would only be class weapons that would be useful then though. They may as well not have normal weapons in since all classes have their own weapons.

The point in class weapons isn't that they're the best for raw DPS, but that they have other stuff on them that normal weapons can't have like spirit regen/heal for spirit spent etc.

Afaik wands were (maybe they still are, I know they changed proc rates on certain skills, and the amount you can get on an item) very important for mages due to arcane power on crit allowing you to spam stuff like twisters nonstop giving you a ton of life on hit procs and dps, more than what was achievable with a higher dps weapon but less regen.

Bought this last night. After being a massive Diablo 2 player years back I expected to be a tad let down.

However Ive spent some time on it, and Im impressed!

Looks like Im gonna be hooked!. Made a Barbarian to start with.

Would be better to use the community feature rather than a clan, you can fit more in a community.

Edit: More meaning everyone. :)

Clans are limited to 150 people i think, whereas a community chat can have over 3000 people in it.

Communities don't auto join chat though which is the main issue as most people will just forget to join it (you need to do this every time you open the game), especially when they're already in the OCUK clan and therefore seeing chat from guildies, meaning that while there may be a load of people online in the community, chat will be dead (I believe there's already a community, which someone said is dead because people don't join chat everytime they open the game).

The best thing to do would be to just make a new clan making it invite/request only, then only accepting people that actually post their ID on the forums like others have said.

I doubt that there's actually the full 150 people from here in the guild. A lot of them are probably just people that wanted to join a clan for chat/multiplayer and requested an invite (since everyone in the guild can accept, I think) because it looked like an active clan.

Then there's all the people that thought "ooh, 2.0.1's out, let's have a look to see what it's like". Then joined the clan and haven't logged back on again. I imagine this is probably half the guild, as that's exactly the sort of thing that happens when something like this happens (just ask anyone that's played at the start of a reroll/level cap guild in WoW, tons of people want to play but then get bored within a week).

I can't imagine the 150 player cap would be an issue if posting your battletag in this thread/a dedicated thread was required.
