'Contact lost' with Malaysia Airlines plane

It looks like it will have the same ending as the Boeing 727 that vanished in the Angolan capital of Luanda. It was never found.

What makes it so interesting now is that we know it was deliberate. So if someone was up there making decisions about what to do with the plane - and intelligently so - it could be literally anywhere. I just don't know how the hell they silenced the passengers. It's mental.

Doesn't make sense to me. Normally they're very vocal about their causes and no-one has said anything and no group has claimed responsibility. What would be the point of making a grand fundamentalist statement on this scale for no-one to find out about it?

The fort hood shooting(13 dead) was done by a single idiot.
 
If the pilot is involved I wonder if the authorities will find any runways and maps of the middle east on his simulator. Could've easily been practising landing on a remote runway for months or even years leading up to this.

Just out of interest, if someone was able to pull the breakers on the transponder etc, would they not also be able to pull the breaker on the flight recorders too?
This would mean that even if the plane was found, we may still never know what happened.

In a controlled way, which can mean many people survived the landing at least.

I just don't see how something the post you quote suggests is a well organised plan ends up with them running out of fuel...
 
It is starting to remind me of the Greek Helios flight which decompressed slowly causing all to pass out and die but carried on flying for ages.

It could be the disabled communication was actually somebody trying to get them to work. There was a theory with the Helios flight the head steward who was a trainee pilot tried to save the plane but lacked the knowledge of the communication systems to call in a distress call.
