Drop 50k on a house and have the M3/Jag, then maybe after that look at something like an F-Type Coupe when they are a couple of years old and the big depreciation hit has happened.

Do this fella, whilst it's nice owning expensive cars, for me it's much more important to have my own roof over my head.

Actually this!

I thought you would already own a house by now, seeing as they'll likely cost about £3.40 down Stoke way :D

Yeah seen some houses cough sheds for sale for about £40,000 around here. :D

150-200k gets a pretty nice place around here.

GTR - easy decision for me. The Caymen just wouldn't be that much different than a 911 for me. The Jag although is great, it just doesn't appeal to me, I don't think I'd find it 'special' enough after coming from a 911.

The GTR just ticks all boxes, the noise, the speed, the handling, all of it.

Or you can opt for some of them £1 homes the council were selling off Steve mentioned lol.

Just not sure id park the car outside.

Was going to say from my own research a nice 3 bed semi with some good off road parking can be had for around £150K without traveling to far.

My 5ft 4in missus complained when she sat in the back, they're not exactly usable seats :p Although my 2 year old niece in a baby seat fit in nicely.

Fair comment - I wasn't able to fit in the back either - but it's a selling point ;)

You can slide the passenger seat forward... so it's a 3 seater really! :D

Go test drive the Jag, its a lovely car but it was just missing something, I felt it would get boring very quickly. The only car to replace a 911 is another newer faster 911.

I agree with this, as nice as the F Type V6S was and as good as it sounded, it did seem to miss something, it wasn't anywhere near as demanding to drive as my 911, and I will compare it to the Boxster on Monday, and as good as the engine sounds, it is just too artificial to be enjoyable forever.

I would go second hand GT3, but out of the 3 probably the Cayman, GT-R seems too hardcore for just pootling around in with the gearbox, and the Jag is just too compromised. Cayman has the space to make it every day usable.

The GTR would be my choice but as you said wouldnt buy new even if I had the money. Get a nice 2nd hand one and spend the rest on mods.

I wouldn't buy it with those options.

What kind of spec would you go with m8?

To be honest the new GTS seems to have the spec I'd go for and is 55k, so with PDK added that would be my ideal car at under 60k, seems the GTS version helps save some money as the options I would want are standard fitment on that edition. :)

None of them. (i don't believe in new cars especially ones costing nearly 3x the yearly national average full time wage)

But If i had to blow the hole 60k on a car i would have to get an RS 4 Avant

Something that's still very fast and 1000x more practical in RL to the others but is not a full on look at me car but to the people that know anything about cars will nod there head to the RS badge.

Or do something like some of the others have said, drop 20k on something mad like a V10 M5/AMG 63/Can get 911 turbos for 25k and spend the rest on a house (even if your already have one)

Say what...

The only people that would "nod their head" would be complete anoraks.

The RS4 is a generic audi shed with a big engine. It's not a class-leading sports / GT like these 3.

Heart says Jag, head says Porsche.

If it were my money I'd probably get the Porsche.

Saying that, I'd probably be on my way to the dealership and end up ordering the Jag.
