Delivery man inside the house...

I never lock my door if i'm in.

I never leave my door open if i'm in.

OP doesn't state what the situation was.

And whether he was wearing his GFs knickers at the time.

I've had postman open the door and stick the package inside, doesn't bother me. Obviously doesn't want the hassle of having to redeliver...awesome.

No need to cry imo.

Don't think I could live with having had a delivery guy deep inside me.

... uh, I mean, deep inside my hallway. Yeah.

Wait, hallway isn't a euphamism. Gah!

At least your 'Amazon Logistics' guy decides to turn up. I had nothing but perfect service from Amazon Prime before they did away with the courier they used before (I think it was DPD or CityLink, hell even Yodel) they labelled it all 'Amazon Logistics'.

It's gone downhill rapidly over the past 6 months or so. Even something they shipped by Royal Mail 1-Day service didn't get to me yesterday as it should have, and doesn't have a tracking option on the site? WUT?

I would be quite happy to allow a trusted delivery man i knew to enter my house to ensure my parcel was safe, at least this way you wouldn't have to pick it up from royal mail or rearrange a delivery date but yeah I wouldn't be too happy about someone I didn't trust entering, make a complaint to the delivery company that way he doesn't do it to any of us or ends up with a chihuahua mauling his ankle. :D

I ordered something with Amazon yesterday for delivery today and it was due for delivery with 'Amazon Logistics'. This afternoon I heard the door bell and started walking downstairs only to find a bloke walking out the house and closing the door behind him with my parcel on the floor in the hall.

Before I could catch up with him he was in his van and off. I've already had the "why didn't you have the front door locked?" lecture but I'm just wondering if anybody has had this happen before and is it worth me saying something to Amazon?

I've never experienced it before and was very surprised to be honest...

guessing the door was on catch or not shut propperly so when he knocked it opened and assumed youd left it open for the parcel

I find that a number of people have their front doors open with just the force of me 'shoving' mail through their letter box. Today, more so than usual.

He might have knocked and found your door swing open, it happens.

I usually find it quite embarrassing and try to shut the door as casually as I can... but I assume he's paid on a no deliver, no money type of contract. So anything goes.

He was probably CRB checked anyway, think most/all jobs with customer contact/trust with goods etc need this now.

Also wouldn't be able to nick anything as tracker would place him at the scene of crime etc

tbh i'd be very happy if the posite/parcel man did this. much better than laving it on the drive

Don't allow this to happen, a courier did this once as I returned from being out. I go in and they'd stolen an iPod (later found on him). An opportunistic grab, it was on the side by the front door.
