Been looking at a disc myself, as my current tubs are 10sp and the cervelo is 11sp. Can't decide whether to get tubs again or just stick with clinchers though. Need to make a decision soon. Did you get a good deal on those?

I am a fan of tubs for triathlon in particular. They were from wiggle and to be honest there was no great deal, it was just a case of I'd read up as much as I could online and decided that these would fit the bill. Not ridden them yet, only around the block :D
What wheels do you currently have? This disc can run 10 or 11 speed which is quite handy. All my bikes are 10 speed.

THe main street leeading from Lowton directly to Culcheth is appalling (near the golf course and through to the Cherry Tree pub). Its the worst road round here by a long way.

Yeah, a few weeks back I managed to keep finding myself on bits they were resurfacing every time I went out. Each time I'd think "They're resurfacing this bit, I'll go a different way" and then I'd find they'd moved onto that other bit :p

A mate I ride with a is a BT engineer, so he drives round in an Openzone van the whole time. The other week he was driving up a road he cycles on all the time and spotted a massive hole. He dug around the back of his van, found some spray paint, and painted a circle round the hole. A few days later he drove past and it had been filled. Connected? We may never know... :D

I've got these at the moment: http://bit.ly/1k3QYiq (for sale as they won't take an 11sp cassette) just trying to decide what to replace them with really. Probably will end up going tubs as in my experience they've been so much quicker.

You might want my PX 82/101's with disc cover? I they work with 11 speed only by the fact that on the PX website they are listed as Shimano/SRAM compatible but no mention of 10/11.
 
Finished my Dawes city bike!
The seatpin came today, I like the Charge Spoon so much, I have put it on my MTB instead, put my old MTB saddle on the Dawes.

Oh! the joy of a steel frame, it's nothing special at all, but a joy to ride on the local roads due to bigger tyres and compliant frame.

(Touch was right though, caliper brakes aren't up to modern standards when braking from speed)

Aluminium frames batters you to death around here!

Yep those are the ones, quite looking forward to them now!

Am going to try running them at 100/110 front/rear for this weekends sportive, I usually run around 110 for both so not much of a change, could be a bit nicer on rough surfaces through the bars tho. :)
 
First evening TT of the year, had a good run, thought I finished a little quicker than I had, but still happy with my time of 15:09 over 10km, about 24.6mph, very little wind for the first time this year, so a good benchmark to work from for the rest of the season.
 
The lady wants a road racing bike and was thinking of the classic triban 3 but was wondering about sizing, she is 5'3 would I go for the 51 or 54? because there are slight difference with wheel size. The smaller one uses 650c and the 54 700c.
Any tips?
