Very unlikely, the list of features this monitor has is *because* of the gsync controller tying it all together

There may just be something in May. A 24" model with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Can't say any more than that at the moment. Stay tuned.

Haha. And who knows if you'd regret it? I suppose monitors are one particular piece of tech I don't get an itch to buy. I get sick of the sight of them sometimes.

Some games on full max but not all. And certainly not on ULTRA in the years to come. I'm in the same boat... got my 780 GTX before I got my 1440p. Now to go SLI I need a new PSU too!

Might end up going AMD for this upgrade. Crossfire 290X seems to scale better and result in less frame variability going by recent benchmarks. The 780Ti SLI benchmarks are all over the place.

You still get the benefit of 1440p at 144hz which no other* monitors offer yet.

the whole point of gsync is that it renders frame variability a moot point, the 290X's would need to be 30-50% faster and less variable to be able to equal the experience of gsync, so we are told based on independent people that have seen it first hand

It doesn't make frame variability moot, it keeps that variance from causing frame skipping but can't stop a loss of smoothness. Reduces the impact would be fair.

Though I totally agree that its nuts to go for a gsync monitor and then switch to AMD.
