Have you got 8.1 professional?

This page might help anyone wanting the DL files from the MS site.
There's direct links to the files you need and it explains in which order they need to be installed in.

Or search and DL the following files from the MS site and install them in this order:

KB2919442 (prerequisite for Windows 8.1 Update)
KB2919355
KB2932046
KB2937592
KB2938439
KB2934018

(I've got the files, but not install them yet).

It's having none of it on my box.... 2919355 fails every time. Probably caused by my moving user folders from my profile and redirecting, as I've seen a few posts out there with the same issues. Will find a solution, but I'll do a clean install anyway at some point.

My user folders are all on the D: drive and 2919355 installed fine

My "back " and "forward" side mouse buttoms seemed to have stopped working in the update, IE11 seems a lot faster, don't know if that's just me though or what.

Nevermind, restarted and working fin, im surprised im liking pinning some Apps to my taskbar.

I just done the latest update to my windows 8.1 machine and now the computer won't even start up. It's asking me to insert system disk :(

is this available through windows update .exe? i had manually refreshed and all i had was a definition update for windows defender.

I updated through Windows Update on Wednesday, really like the changes to the Modern UI apps, and I noticed a new power icon at the top of the start screen too. Didn't really find shutting down or going to sleep an issue before but still a nice addition :).

Not sure what else is new, haven't looked at any reviews or anything yet!

Giving 8.1 one last try lol. Using the new complied ISO 'Windows 8.1 Enterprise with Update (x64) - DVD (English)'

So far so good. I hope it doesn't stop downloading like the others. Really like everything else about the OS, if this keeps working will be very happy with it.

Fingers crossed..

Forgive me if I'm being dumb.
I've downloaded the file above and when I check the checksum I don't get "SHA1: 4652DC6EBFEBE02C6A63E167C36E3FAEDFB93999".
I get "SHA1: A884FACD10815C49520366792CB158A01B9B2D7C" instead.
Does this mean the file has been altered and shouldn't be used ?

Check the ISO file itself ,it should match if not then redownload it.

Btw I have downloaded it a few days back and mine matched fine.

?

The hash A884FACD10815C49520366792CB158A01B9B2D7C, has something to do with KB2939087. You're probably computing the hash of the wrong file.

EDIT: A884FACD10815C49520366792CB158A01B9B2D7C belongs to Windows8.1-KB2939087-x64 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42365
