Here's my current demon hunter build and i'm pretty happy with it overall.

It works really well for torment one and can kill rift guardians really fast as I can just spam cluster arrow over and over until they die. The basic tactic is to spam cluster arrow at everything and use preparation to top up hatred when needed at the cost of discipline. Once my discipline is low I spam chakrams because it hardly costs any hatred and the crits will regen my discipline thanks to night stalker. If I activate vengeance I can regen hatred whilst using chakrams which is pretty nice. The only real problem is that I cant vault as much as I'd like as it puts too much drain on my discipline and i really do need to keep the 30% resource reduction from the helm up as much as possible.

You know, the more I read, the more I wish it were next month so that I could get RoS.. damn me and spending all my spare cash this month on a new keyboard..

To be completely honest the games shine wears out pretty speedily, and has the same issues it always has done, namely the RNG loot. The loot is definitely better yes, and you 95% of the time get loot for your character, but it boils down to the fact that if you want to progress, you are required to have specific weapons/items, else you will be stuck in lower torment levels, and these may drop after you just ding 70, or may drop after 500 hours played or may never drop for you. And therein lies the issue.

I play(ed) quite a lot and I never saw a Cindercoat, Thunderfury or Shard of Hate, things I am required to have to progress. But I see people who don't play as much, or have just dinged 70 getting them, and are able to jump ahead of me in the space of a second just because of those drops, annoying doesn't describe it.

This is what is will always come down to unfortunately, and it makes you just not want to bother playing.

For some though, they'll love it, just hit level 70 and got some of the best items in the game, now can farm T4 without a problem.

The whole farm, farm and farm some more to get the best gear really doesn't bother me, its exactly what i did in WoW i had all the best gear apart from a trinket, i spent the next 6 months or so continuosly doing the raid with my guild just to get this one piece that i never got. If i ever get bored ill just play another game then come back later or tomorrow.

If there is no aspect of RNG the game would be linear by definition. If you could perform a set sequence of events and get the exact things required to progress, it wouldn't be fun at all!

So yeah... I'm really glad i bought RoS, and i haven't even unlocked adventure mode yet, leveled a crusader from level 1 on expert and i'm currently level 46 currently in act 3absolutely loving it,fist of heavens is a fun spell to use! I didn't really give the game a chance when it was released, completed the game on normal and that was it. Been playing with friends which has been fun, do they plan on adding new content or how does it work? Do we have to wait for another expansion, can see myself sinking a lot of hours into this :P

fist of heavens with fissure is proving a great farming tool.

Yeah thats the rune im using atm, haven't really experimented with a lot of the spells yet, will do that when i hit 70 and want to maximise my DPS in different builds, also only found out by a mate that you can mix up any spell combo, always had a select few that you could have on your first spell for example, didn't realise there was an option to change it.

running justice and foh as my dmg and then judgement law of valour and arakats and ofc the dash with the horse for escaping found the fire trail works very well.

Spamming blessed hammer has been good fun too but overall i've found foh fissure is using up all my wrath and dealing much more dmg far more consistently.

Right now for leveling up i'm using provoke, condemn, akarats, heavens fury, slash and FoH, will try justice tonight instead of slash.

it's the range i find usefull tbh but yeah i'm always trying different things LoV is usefull as i can provide everyone in the party with 100% bonus crit dmg and I can pull people in and stun with judgement so with a barb and a wizard like we usually run it's devastating.

when I solo I use LoV with teh rune to half wrath costs as that means i can slam 6 FOH down in succession which is perfect vs mobs.

Good point, must give that a try (half the wrath cost), suppose the taunt isn't extremelly neccesary.

am i correct at saying that critical chance doesn't go above 100 % so if you have 100% already it is useless , not like critical hit damage can go above 100 % ?

To a point i do agree with you, I think they could vastly improve the game by making leg drops a bit more consistent, for example if you do a rift and don't find a leg item, then the next rift you do has a better chance of finding one.

I really hate going 1-2 hours without getting a leg drop only to get a 2h sword or something. Sometimes you find 2-3 legs in like 10 minutes as well. 1 leg every 20-30 minutes or so would feel like a decent pacing to me.

I would not want legs to drop like candy, or be made too easy to get, but ultimately most of the ones you find aren't very good so they either need to up the drop rates on them, or make the bad ones better!

Definitely, they said they want legendaries to feel more legendary, and at first they do, but after a point if going on your example you get a 2h sword, you just think "sigh, should I even bother IDing it?" because it's not what you need or want to progress. There's a big difference between having side grade weapons which could be used for different play styles, and one which flat out trumps the rest, it's basically get tf or be gimped in anything T3+

Is the proc on TF really that insane? Or has it just got a stupidly high chance that arguably could be dropped slightly to balance the game better with regard to endgame weapons?

This game has really ignited my passion for gaming again. It feels so much more like D2 since RoS came out, so glad I gave it another chance.

Not sure where the speculation around the RNG system is coming from? I'm sure it is just that, random. I mean have you really taken a big enough sample to claim that it's not a random system? Not trying to sound arsey, I just think that bad RNG makes you speculate a lot more than good. What other system do you think they could be using?

It really is pretty damn insane.

I use Frenzy on my Barbarian 99% of the time with the occasional Hammer of the Ancients on right click. Its proc just goes off and kicks the arse off everything around you. Meaning I target one enemy yet things are dying allover the place :D
