8 Pets on a Demon Hunter? Whaaaaaaaa? I knew it could get a wolf follower and there were legendaries to add some more, but 8?!

My WD runs around with a minimum of 6. The Gargantuan and 5x Dogs. However I also use the Fetish Syncophants Passive, which means there is a 5% chance of spawning a fetish (same as the Fetish Army dudes) that will follow me for a minute when I attack with Toads, Firebats or Locusts. So I regularly have 3-4 of those guys following too providing I'm attacking lots - however I do spend a lot of time kiting drawing aggro rather than pure attacking.
If you have the full Zunamasa (spelling?) legendary set those fetish that spawn will last for ever. So you could potentially have a stupid amount of them. Imagine there may be other legendaries that spawn extras for the WD too although I've not come across them.

My Witch Doctor Love the legendary weapon + mojo I have :D
 
My DH has 3 wolves, templar follower, a legendary belt with a random chance of spawning a ghost to fight with me and 3 sentry guns which is sort of 8 pets...It's a pretty fun build actually, I spend most of my time vaulting through mobs to puts turrets behind them.
 
Dh lego with more wolves and the set which lets you have all companions active at the same time. Dunno how many that would be. But yes WD can have a ton of pets
 
I'm not exactly sure if it was exactly 8 but there was a lot, he even had a treasure goblin following him haha

Called my witch doctor AkuAku after the mask from crash bandicoot!

Can't wait to get playing him!
 
Hi everyone,

I am new to Diablo 3. I started playing the free starter edition the other day and I really enjoyed it. So I have just purchased a key for D3 on eBay as it was £12 cheaper than Battle.net..... Is the expansion required at this point? Does it add anything to the early game for me now? Or does it purely add on extra content after a certain point in the D3 base game? Basically looking to see if I really need to buy it now from the word go or just play through base game first of all as the expansion makes no difference to that initially. Thanks :)

Vampire Bats. I use it on mine, nice damage from it and actually has a pretty decent range.


xdcx - vanilla Diablo3 still has the 2.0 loot, so the only thing you are really missing out on before level 60 / beating Diablo is being able to play as a Crusader. Someone might come and correct me on that but that's all I can think of!
 
A DH can get many many 'companions' if so inclined

Marauders 4 set = 1 wolf, 1 bat, 1 raven, 1 spider, 2 ferrets and a boar
Puzzle Ring = 1 goblin
Garwulf Cloak = 2 additional wolves
Bombardier's Rucksack + Custom engineering passive = 5 sentries
Follower

thats 16 without me having to think too hard. I'm sure there are other legendaries out there that add more.

Keep going for now. The expansion offers 60-70 levels and adventure mode where you can go anywhere without the constraint of the story system and randomly generated levels (called rifts). The base game has the improved loot 2.0 so you should enjoy that too. If you're enjoying it at 60 and want to keep going then I'd recommend the expansion as it has a lot to offer. I feel like the expansion is the game D3 should have always been but I'm not really mad it is an expansion as there's new stuff in there too.

I am actually only level 10 on my Monk as the starter free edition only lets you get as far as killing the Skeleton King, then you need to buy base D3 to continue onto Act 2.

So you have confirmed for me really I won't benefit at all until I ding lvl 60 anyway so that's fine I will just wait until then, as I am not bothered about rolling a Crusader just now anyway.
 
Shard of hate getting it's much needed fix - the QQ out of the noobs farming T6 with it because now they will be lucky to see above T3 anytime soon is beyond amazing.

don't be naive. you would be equally frustrated to be pushed from farming T6 one day to struggling in T3 the next.

For the record I didn't find a shard yet.

I know what items are broken in this game right now so I'm far from naive - I know exactly what items in this game right now I should shut my mouth over when they eventually are fixed (heads up, Unity is probably next)

But people are also equally frustrated that others can farm T6 because they got a lucky drop. One item should not allow someone to progress straight from T3-T6
 
Anyone else got that issue where you try open your bags/skills/friend comes online when in a rift and you get a couple seconds delay?

So ****** annoying!

Server lag, since you have to stay connected to battle.net its unaviodable, but since this expasion its gotten worse, guess Blizzard have there nose in everthing we do now.
