Good job OcUK, see you should never doubt them! Glad it got all sorted for you BB, the U2713HM is an excellent monitor (I have one at the moment) - colour depth is amazing, enjoy

Backlight bleed is one of those tolerance based things as far as I'm aware when it comes to returns.
Chances are you'd have to go through a fair amount of panels before you get a "perfect" one.

just as a note on this I got my dell 2nd user however the guy who I got it from had replaced it 4 times with dell due to back light bleed and 1x dead pixel. Viewed his paperwork and all seemed legit. Dell appear to be pretty good in this respect and ask few questions. Whole thing was late 2013

Just checked my monitor as it seems it was first delivered out in June 2013? It has ONE MONTH of warranty left lol
Just submitted an RMA with DELL over the backlight bleed. Seems strange that this monitor is nearly 12 months old lol
Oh well, it is a beast. And it's worth more than I paid... so as long as DELL sort out their bit, all is good
