*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Surprised that Sony managed to be the top selling console in the US in March, despite the fact Titanfall was released and Microsoft also included it in a bundle and lowered the price.

Unfortunately its not a bank holiday everywhere in the world, but youd hope they make some concessions - its just common sense. If the downtimes needed its needed, just sucky timing...

if you log into the network before 5.30pm guess what?

you experience zero downtime so long as you don't switch games iirc.

so if your playing BF4 at 5PM you can continue to play it for the next 8 hours so long as you stay logged in.

it's just all new connections which are stopped from connecting.

The above restrictions arent exactly a bonus. Yeah i'm sure there are many people who play one game for 8hrs...but dont see why PSN needs to be down so long when as someone said Xbox Live doesnt go down at all.

your sounding like a broken record now with sony sales.

PS4 is the superior console at a cheaper price, hardly surprising it has been dominant in sales and you have already repeated this useless information 100 times now :o

maybe you and "an exception" should get a sub forum and you can both keep repeating the same stuff over and over?

Except pretty much everyone expected the XB1 to outsell the PS4 in the US in March, given that it was Titanfall's release date, lots of places were selling it for $450 including Titanfall and in some places with a $50 gift voucher, which in real terms put the XB1 cheaper than the PS4 and yet they still lost out by over 60k sales.

I think theres little point in interjecting unless its in context, Ive seen the figures but seems little value in what amounts to flogging a dead horse right now. There is some information in there if you put some effort in finding it, but nothing thats worth the friction...

For those of us that were first time Very users (when we signed up for the code I gave out at Christmas) you should have got another code in the post/email (25 pounds off 50 spend). I've just bought 50 pounds worth of PSN credit for 25... its the gift that just keeps on giving ;).

Bought a PS4 infamous bundle yesterday, just finished setting it up a few hours ago and so far so good. Gotta say I much prefer the UI on the x1 but perhaps it's because I'm not quite use to it on the ps4. The size also surprises me didn't realise how small it was next to my xbox, but it is noisier and gets hotter. Overall very happy with my purchase! :D

can you post the code?

I sold my ps4, I just didn't enjoy it.

great story bro, will tell grandkids.

Really don't understand why people bought next-gen consoles at launch only to complain about the lack of features and games. If you want a fully-featured console and a varied game library, common sense would suggest you wait at least a year.
