David Moyes disgracefully sacked

I think that Moyes was just the fall guy brought in after Fergie - basically set up to fail so that a decent manager could then take over with significantly less pressure put upon them.

then why allow him to buy mata in january when you already have kagawa and didn't really need mata? you needed a midfielder, no question but not an attacker.

1) There is no 'you', i'm not a United fan.
2) Kagawa is dump ;)
3) I don't think they had decided to get rid of him in January, so why not back him in the transfer market.

Chelsea were laughing when Utd spend that amount of money on Mata. Apparently there were no other clubs offering that sort of money. I can see a massive clear out in the summer.

No they weren't they were throwing their toys out of the pram.

It was only after the event they all decided it was for the best.

Given a full preseason and consistant games, no reason Mata cant still be a good signing for Utd (especially if he doesnt get a place in the WC squad and has a restful summer)

edit - and given his quality the amount payed was reasonable between clubs in the same league for that level of player (whether he was wanted by Chelsea or not)

How fickle this place is sometimes, the same people who were saying how Man Utd should never have appointed him and it was doomed from the start, are all now up in arms he's been sacked :D

AVB lol :D

I said that would happen years ago. It is what I would have done. No-one was going to follow Taggart into immediate success (especially with the dross of a squad he had at the end). Now the only way is up.

You cant be that suprised lol

edit - I just hope who-ever comes in has the ***** to tell Utd to remove SAF's office from OT, that must have been an idiotic decision to give him that however much of a hero he has been over 26 years.

I think the fact the Liverpool fans are all completely gutted speaks for itself. :p

You're surprised?

I was ecstatic when he got the job but was able to honestly say that it was a massive and needless risk.

I'm now gutted he's gone but at the same time I can honestly say it's for the best for Utd. It should have been done sooner.

edit: at least we've not been telling everybody he has been doing a great job like some of your lot were with Hodgson at Liverpool.

Wenger might be free at the end of the season? Now that would be interesting...

LOL highly unlikely he will be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season and if he did, i could never ever see him managing Utd. He's not that much of a **** to do something like that unlike a certain RVP who did lol.

Anyhow no real surprise that they finally sacked the inept muppet Moyes, just took them long enough to decide to do it. Had they sacked him earlier in the season, they might have been able to salvage their season this yr ie get into the top 4 at the bare minimum.

Will be interesting to see who they get in now to take over permanently.

A fan somewhere is thinking, Wtf do i do now. :p

I find this all very odd given how long it took Fergie to settle in and how their perseverance paid off for 20 years. Someone at the club it seems has a short memory.

They'll find it difficult to attract the players now, so any incoming manager will have to show great resourcefulness. Only Martinez and Wenger I can think of acquire such attributes.
