I'm working towards a perma-Archon build for my wizard, focusing on cooldown reduction and arcane damage %.

I played the build for the 1st time last night and it was awesome! My gear is still a work in progress but I have 57% cooldown reduction and around 65-70% +arcane damage. I still have 4 pieces of gear which I need to re-roll CDR on, which will give me an additional 25% or so.

Was able to complete T1 rifts in under 5 mins, feels so much better than my old frozen orb build even if I had 1.6m dps with that.

Well my barb is coming along nicely: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Caphel-2789/hero/1787896

Managed to get a Odyn Son and a Stone of Jordan the other night. I also now have two pieces of the Immortal King's Set, but no Ring of Royal Grandeur. The Odyn Son has helped with damage a lot more than I thought it would. In fact, that is my second Odyn Son. The first one that dropped only had a 20% chance to chain lightning.

One thing that I am finding frustrating at the moment is trying to get the correct re-roll from the Mystic. I burned though all of my money trying to re-roll a stat on my Stone of Jordan as it required Gems to do. Still nothing.

Then I burned through all of my forgotten souls trying to re-roll stats on my gloves, and still no luck there either. It is especially frustrating when you see the same Stat turn up with different values.

Fair enough - I didn't really address the offline mode because I didn't think it important.

No, that's not really fair - I didn't think it insurmountable. I don't deny that D2's offline mode may have been pants (I honestly don't remember!), but I don't see why Blizzard can't make a proper offline mode with some thought. There's no reason you can't allow resetting/repeating requests in an offline mode, and then its back to the old school method of downloading a patch and installing it when you can rather than streaming it through battlenets patcher.

We'll never see PvP in D3, that'll probably be some method of selling D4 so the game doesn't need protecting/balancing around that.

PVP is really by the by. It's the fact that character information is stored on peoples machine that would stop them implementing it. The only way to keep it secure is to keep it server side, but then you'd have to connect to their servers to play single player. Lose/lose. Offline mode, even if identical to online mode, would still die out to character trainers.

I'm not against single player offline modes, but it'd be superfluous for me personally. I'd use it to knock up a build for online mode, perhaps. Test out items that i'd made in a character trainer before wasting my precious crafting mats or something, but thats about it.

Link?

Anyone know if a chest piece exists that has +% fire damage that isn't Cindercoat?

Was looking at my cindercoat last night and figured i dont really need the 25% less resouce use for fire spells due to my wiz spec.

If another piece existed that give +% fire damage im fairly sure it would be better in my case.

Meteor & blackhole are my only spenders with MM on primary. Can't link spec at work.

Got bored of my WD, got him over 1mil sheet dps with a nice dot build as i had a Quetz, then found a Mask of Jeram and got Tasker and Theos, pet build is crazy good but incredibly boring to play, so i swapped to Crusader.

Loving the Crusader, i can mash up t4 solo with his current build, have to be careful on some packs but its great fun if a little slow.

My sweet spot i think is probably t2, t3 is easy but i still need to pay a bit of attention, where as t2 i can afk with stuff hitting me and not die lol.

Crusader is a lot of fun, i got a fair few shields and flails banked, its definitely one of those classes were specific items will totally change your build.

what are people farming at lvl 70?

ive just been doing norm act 1 split runs for an hour, got about 20 cache and got sweet fa out of them or the blood runes.

i always run my bounties at expert just for the increased shard drops, i normally run the 2 bonus acts then rest it and start over.

Apart from that im just doing rifts T1 or higher.

Im not sure things like the old rumford or arreat runs are still as viable as they reduced the chest spawns etc.

I did try and get the skeleton king event chest in old ruins a few times tho to no avail

I have quite good buffed sheet DPS with my Wizard, but am struggling with survivability in T3+.

Any suggestions?

You crit hit:dmg ratio is outside what I'd expect, it's usually 1:10 and you're 1:5 and with pinpoint it will likely be worse. I've read (totally no math proof here) that the goal target is 1:10 and running either side of this is OK but not "optimal". You can fix a lot of it with paragon usually. Running glass cannon won't really work too well with your goal of survival but that might be because you were doing norm runs or something. You have low +skill and +arcane which is fine but will stop you from killing stuff fast. You could run Dynamo instead of glass cannon thinking about it, might be better kill times. Your boots are running the wrong +skill.

Well, Bounty runs are only really worth doing if you want either a specific Cache leg, if your farming for a specific cache leg, then do them on normal as its the fastest, if your farming for rift frags then do them on t1 if you can handle it as you not only get the extra frags you also open up the torment only leg pool of drops.

I mainly farm Rifts as the leg drop increase means you should in theory get more drops, i got 12 i think the other night in a few hours while the rest of my group got a couple each, i guess i was just lucky as i sometimes go a day or so without any. RNG is RNG though.

If im solo i will generally farm T2 if im feeling lazy or T3 if i am a bit more interested, if i want a bit of a challenge then i solo T4, if i run in a group its usually T3 or T4 Rifts, sometimes we might need to do some split T1 bounties purely for Frags.

Im just running T1 act 4 bounties then rift. Doing pretty well. So far today ive looted just about every damned 2h legendary in the game, but nothing useful.
