You crit hit:dmg ratio is outside what I'd expect, it's usually 1:10 and you're 1:5 and with pinpoint it will likely be worse. I've read (totally no math proof here) that the goal target is 1:10 and running either side of this is OK but not "optimal". You can fix a lot of it with paragon usually. Running glass cannon won't really work too well with your goal of survival but that might be because you were doing norm runs or something. You have low +skill and +arcane which is fine but will stop you from killing stuff fast. You could run Dynamo instead of glass cannon thinking about it, might be better kill times. Your boots are running the wrong +skill.
Thanks!

I know about the boots, but it's expensive to switch and has a low chance to hit AT, so when I have the bits spare I re-roll. Disintegrate is my 2nd fave skill so when that came up I thought it was better than nothing :p

I find I have no real problem killing stuff fast, it's almost purely a survivability issue - the sort where any swoop/leap attackers will have me dead almost immediately.

I enjoying the gameplay, and the class but theres just no decent upgrades dropping. i can clear torment 1, sometimes 2. but other than that its im locked onto the lower levels of 70 legendary farming.

After a few weeks of nothing but utter crap dropping im playing less and less and i know that after a few days ill just move on to POE or torchlight and not return to this game. oh well **** it, i guess at the end of he day its just a game and with Blizzard moving heavily into other genre games and giving up on microtransactions in this game, i can expect to much from it.

just glad i bought it cheap :D

Those high damage hits will be the weapon you have. Any attack that would kill does extra damage from the "rests in pieces" part. Back in the life steal days you used to be able to heal epic amounts from it.

The game won't reward you daily with an upgrade sadly, but in a way thats a good thing, as you also need time to farm enchanting materials and gold to customise your gear to the spec you choose. I hadn't had a single upgrade for my witch doctor in a good 5-6 days, yet I got 3 upgrades tonight, all with rather nice secondary effects that have made my character far more dangerous than it was before.

Keep at it. Instant reward games have no legs in them...

Is there a cap on the amount of +% dmg for a specific school of skill?

No. Which is why everyone should go fire as you get far more of that on gear than you do any other school, hoping they fix that soon.

They just announced on forums that horadric caches are going to drop all torment+ legendaries and drop legendaries more frequently as well as rift bosses giving more blood shards on higher torments!

Farming T5 rifts atm 1-2 upgrades shy of T6 atm, so can't wait for the blood shard spam!

I have recently hit 70 and now hoping to be able to grab a few games with you guys - rarely saw anyone around my levels before.

My only concern is that I dont want to be "that guy" and rock up to the party with a weak character and let the side down.

do I need to continue to farm for better goods before I join you big boys for a game? :)

at 129k damage I'm guessing that its a yes :(

Ahh so I need to have some life steal on an item to benefit from it?
I guess, I'm not sure what else it would be good for. Sadly - life steal doesn't roll on any items any more so I think it would only work on pre 2.0 gear which would be underspecced in other ways I suppose as it would be level 60 or lower.

Dean - long way to go on DPS if you want to play on various torment levels without feeling like you are holding people back. However you'll be fine below that I imagine :) I'd say you need 250-300k dps or more to not find Torment 1 a chore. With the wizard you could play as a utility character though - I used to run with a build that just froze/slowed everything which made it easier for others to kill them.

It'll only take a few rifts/bounties to get 500k+ easily.

But it's not really about sheet DPS. I'd say aim for about 800k unbuffed DPS then the rest should be your elemental damage.

As a heads up, we’re looking to make two changes to Horadric Caches. The first change is to allow the caches to drop Torment-only Legendary items. The second is to increase the chance that you’ll find a Legendary item in Horadric Caches, including Act-specific Legendaries like the Royal Ring of Grandeur, based on the Torment difficulty. What this means is that Horadric Caches earned in Torment I+ will be able to drop Torment restricted Legendary items, and caches earned in Torment II+ will have a scaling bonus for dropping Legendary items (which includes those items only found in a cache).

Yea just keep farming those bounties and rifts, and make sure to spend your Blood Shards. Join our OcUK social clan if you haven't yet done so. I'm usually up for a run of 3-4 rifts each night after I get home from work, and try to get a 4 man clan run going as it's much more fun.

check this relic, someone in the clan found it I forget the name

Finally got cinder coat, fire monk is nearly there. Just broke 1M dps, with 76% fire on top. The gnk fireball also scales with fire damage which is pretty sweet.

Only recently got into this game after ROS came out, finding it quite hard to know what to do rly after finishing the game. Can anyone help me out with some links for total newcomers, everything I have found so far seems to have acronym after acronym.

Not getting many legendary's, did three rifts and got one chest item which was pretty good. What the drop rate? only have 250k damage so running them on hard level.
