I, for one, welcome new Matrix canon. I am a sucker for more!

I think the best thing they can do is delete the 2nd and 3rd ones and deny they ever existed. A remake of the original will likely not be as good as the original.

We're into the 4th Batman reboot (or 3rd? I lost track), and the 3rd Spiderman reboot, the 3rd Superman reboot...

I guess. Matrix hasn't had their Terminator:Salvation/Alien 4 movie yet. So they need to make that first.

I guess I'd better explain. The 4th movie has to be so bad it makes an already terrible 3rd movie seem half decent. Then they reboot.

I see what you mean, and it works in the case Alien 3 vs 4 (though the A3 DC was pretty good and I always thought A3 was ok anyway tbh).

Terminator on the other hand... While 4 was poo, 3 was utter uber poo.

I'm not sure how much worse a 4th matrix movie could be compared to the third one. That would take a special talent

I was disappointed with the 2nd and 3rd movie at the time. Didn't live up to the hype.

I watched all 3 back to back again last year, they actually work really well. Ok plasticine Neo is still annoying in Reloaded, but if you can get past that there are some amazing scenes. Like the fighting with the Merovingian goons in the mansion, the Freeway scenes. The attack on Zion was pretty epic.

Gotta say, I enjoyed Reloaded.

I do remember being bored by the attack on Zion when I saw it at the cinema. Was pretty much just waiting for it to be over... Sensory overload perhaps?
It was the same with Attack of the clones. A visual feast, but you just didn't know where to look.
