Just started playing too. Duo playing as DH/Wiz (on hardcore) we completed Normal mode pretty fast, then did a few bountys on Hard (got three chests), and now decided to run through the campaign on Extreme (skipping Hard), we're currently on act 2 and progressing well (level 54 atm), though it's certainly more effecient to just go straight to adventure mode we wanted to experience the campaign on a higher difficulty, so chose the path you want :)
 
The upcoming patch ideas look amazing. Ladders with specific legendary items that get transferred to your normal chars after the ladder season ends sounds great. Will keep players coming back :)

I also like the idea of legendary gems they are currently toying with. Keep it up Blizzard!
 
After being stuck on 450k dps for ever, yesterday I managed to hit 600k dps and 10 mill toughness on my Mage.

I've been farming expert bloodstones and caches with the odd rift. At one point I got 2 set items 1 set recipe 1 legendary recipe and 2 legendary items in about 40 mins.
 
For reference, i solo t4 with 10mil tough and 600k or so dps on my Crusader, hes now around 10mil tough and 750k dps, t4 is fairly inefficient, t3 and below are now farm status.

If your Wiz has 600k dps and 10mil tough id be tempted to drop to around 7mil tough and hit 1mil dps then your more than golden for t3 soloing imo.

Tbh at 600k dps with your toughness t1 will be a breeze, t2 will be fairly easy too
 
Toughness becomes less and less important the faster you can kill, as long as packs can't 1 shot you it's pretty easy with classes like witch doctor, can just spirit walk on elites, soul harvest drop slam dance and wrathful protector garg and watch them melt while your fetishes attack for 6-10 mil a time as well :)
 
Need to give an alternative WD build a shot. Still really enjoy my current one but I've not used skills such as soul harvest and spirit walk for donkeys years.
I'm at 840k with just passives, with 2x dot attacks (flaming locust and haunt), garg and 5x dogs. Things die really fast in T2, T3 is doable but yet to try 4. Think I'd need to up my dps and toughness (around 7m iirc) and get a bit more healing for 4 as I'm potentially too reliant on pets distracted enemies and staying alive!

Have a go with the build im using. Can see most of my abilities in the last video I linked on here a few posts above it. You should do some rather tasty dps as your base rate is higher than mine, but I've got 17% attack speed increase + fetish dam increase of around 30% making it basically an "I win" button now.

I was a dot build before, but prefer this for raw damage.

I dont play a wiz but i would start by rerolling that amulet for a crit chance, adding a socket on weap + emerald, reroll rings for crit dmage and chance will increase your damage easily
 
Been doing Rift It Forward today (Google it). Awesome way to use hoarded rift keys and get lots of blood shards and forgotten souls (and legies)

- get a socket on that weapon for CHD gem.
- roll CHC on the bul kathos ring (ditch LoH)
- roll CHD on the hollow whispers ring (ditch LoH)
- get CHC on bracers, movement speed you can get from paragon points and is a waste on gear.
- roll CHC on amulet
- other than that just replace all gear with better gear ^^

That's your sheet damage also, it doesn't take into account passive / active damage buffs.

been trying to get a socket on wep but had no luck in about 10 tries. getting expensive

Had one drop this evening :) then smart loot was very kind too me and provided a source and a couple off 2H's... Just what my barb needed! And kadala can do one, that's about 8000 shards spent and nothing :o
 
I have been fairly lucky with drops all in all. Waiting on one more piece of the Immortal Kings set so I can try out permanent call of the ancients. It is almost too much to ask as well, but I would like a better rolled Odyn Son and a Thunderfury / Shard of hate.

I guess this was always going to happen, but it seems that there is a lot of upfront costs when you hit 70. You need to create some of the top level gems, but once you have done that you will never need to again. You will need to reroll gear but as you start to find some good gear you will need to do that less often as well.

It feels like there are a lot of gold / forgotten soul sinks for a new level 70 which once done will never have to be done again, and it just feels a little frustrating. I know full well that in a month or so I will have lots of cash / forgotten souls but at the moment I have nothing.
