My view on twitchers and let's play, what's yours?

Some guy who squeeks like a little girl, screams like a little girl, pulls faces like a three year old and has the comedy factor of a youth with adhd

My friend forced me to watch a video with him. He usually watches devildoggamer who I can kinda deal with but this guy, not a chance in hell i'd watch him on my own accord. Truly terrible!

My views, It all depends on who you watch,

I've got quite a few streamers I watch, Sacriel, who is very skilled in DayZ already provides an entertainment stream, and you learn quite a few things from him aswell.

Lirik is another great streamer, mostly plays DayZ, Arma/lifemods, he just seems to bring a weird situation you'd never see in a game.

But neither of these guys though not ridiculous as Pewdiepie, there are some minor silly things but that's just for entertainment, otherwise it would be a little boring, also unlike some streamers they actually ingage with their viewers which I think plays a massive part.

Hopefully when I finally get Fibre (if the mar 15 date doesn't get delayed :( ) I'd hope to achieve something on Twitch.

I like watching some streamers , whilst playing games.
Man vs game (random)
Lirik (arma)
Destiny (sc2)
Summit (cs)

are pretty much my go to people, they tend to not sugar coat anything and generally easy on the ears.
Most are shockingly bad though, or obvious as day that they just want your cash.

pewdiepie has pitched his content at the younger audience, which is fair enough.....but lets not get carried away and make out hes the messiah of streaming or something.

The only time I use twich is to watch the odd LoL tournament.

I don't follow anyone on youtube (TB and Pewdie are both prats).

The only other game related media I do watch is ZeroPunctuation and Unskippable on The Escapist.

Summit another good streamer, Ducksauce is another streamer I enjoy, he streams WoW but he's very entertaining.

I can name a lot of good streamers that rather entertain than money grab, Oshi7 is a very underrated streamer imo.

Streaming is a very odd concept - one that I think you either understand, or you don't.

Working from home, I don't tend to have much contact with others - so I took to browsing Twitch for something to listen to other than the radio.

I tend to mix it up a bit, and watch some games that I do not play myself or have previously had little interest in, to get an understanding of what the game was about. I was browsing the list of Minecraft streams one day, and saw a stream with a hundred or so viewers by a Swedish girl called Emma aka swebliss. Yes - initially the fact that she was a girl did draw me to click on the thumbnail - but I then found quite a nice, likeable girl who plays a variety of games, and is always interacting with the chat, getting topics of conversation going in the chat etc.

I now tend to have her stream on for most of the day on one of my 3 monitors whilst I'm working. I'll also occasionally say something in the chat too.

The fact that she's an attractive girl has nothing to do with it other than the initial click on the video thumbnail - if the personality was not to my taste, then I'd not have continued watching, like I didn't continue watching some of the other streams I have previously watched, because I didn't like their personality.

I can understand that people watching people playing games in their spare time is odd!

As for the TotalBiscuit thing - I actually quite like him, again it's whether you like or dislike his personality. Not everyone has to like someone, and not everyone has to hate someone!

tbh, it's like internet tv, you don't like it don't watch it.

i do watch a lot of yt video's for gaming, if i wanted anything more serious than a bit of entertainment and a flavour of what the game is like then i'd just get the game and play it myself.
