Every time I see a legendary drop and it's not a 1h xbow, I get a bit sad. >:

Should have never DE'd my 2.6k DPS Balefire Caster, I DE'd it because I couldn't be bothered rerolling for a socket on it. >.<

Wiz > DH for dps, always.

This is so untrue it makes my nipples hurt - a geared DH can kill ghom t6 in circa 7 seconds which is 460m damage per second. Have fun doing that on a wizard.

WD, Barb and DH are so far ahead of the other classes in higher torments its not even funny

Measuring how efficient you are by killing ghom is a bit daft though isn't it, massive single target damage isn't really where it's at when rifting with 2-3 elite packs at once.

Ghom is nothing more than a burst test. DH's struggle with sustained DPS over longer periods due to getting completely bottle-necked by Hatred regeneration.

Lots of people still playing this then?

I already own diablo 3 from release so would it make sense to make a new character, get it to max level and then buy the expansion?

Cheers

:D

Next level 1.9 billion :/ 600 is going to take a while!

500... Sheesh!
How many hours have you got logged?

2,152 since launch, not sure since RoS launched. Took a good while away from the game when I hit the point pre-loot 2.0 when I could farm MP10 easily, as there wasn't really any challenge any more.

Wow, thats some play time!!! you just play with one class?

Played with a few since launch, but only Monk for a while now.

I'm installing this again, haven't played since about 3 months after release. So much has changed it seems.

Does the expansion only work when you're max level in vanilla Diablo?

I've forgot most of the game so I'm thinking of making a new character, getting it to max level and then get the expansion.

Cheers

Starting again is a good idea anyway if you haven't played in a while as many classes have had a lot of changes to their skills. In vanilla you have the whole loot 2.0 stuff, but you won't be able to get into Act 5 obviously or do anything like rifts or bounties and your max level will be 60. The expansion will work at any level though.

Thanks!

Sticking with vanilla for now will also give me a good chance to see if I can actually get back in to it. I don't see why not considering I loved it on release and put a lot of hours in to it, ended up quitting because a lot of classes were broken.

What class would you recommend this time around for starting out? I've got a 60 Barb and a 60 Demon Hunter at the moment.

Probably one you haven't played :) other classes are all good fun. Could always upgrade to the expansion straight away to unlock the Crusader, the content you get is easily worth the price of the expansion.

Try an intelligence class then. WD and Wizard are both really fun.

If you're starting again the game won't feel THAT different from before. You'll just get loot while levelling up which is more matched to your class.

Yeah Wizard looks fun I think I'll go with it.

Are drops the ONLY way to gain loot now throughout the game? I heard they removed the auction house.
