Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Belts are done, it has some nice mods to it. I know £2,800 is pushing it a bit but for the sake of saving £300-500 on a standard when I'd only end up spending that on getting things like the steering wheel refurbed, new exhaust, remap, it seems like it's an ok deal.

Pilot Sport 3's have been fine on the Megane, and seem to be lasting ages as well, done about 7000 miles since I got it, and the tyres still have about 5mm of tread left

I've just bought a full set of these for my 182,wrapping around my new 1.2's. Only driven a few miles with them, but they already seem better than the Rainsport 2 & 3's i've had previously. Strangly the RS2's lasted pretty well 12k roughly for the fronts, but the RS3's were down to about 3mm after 5k.

I made another offer of £2,250 and he has accepted, just sorting out hopefully collecting this weekend :)

Its probably win, win for your both. As any trade in offer he'd have received would be significantly lower than what you have offered him. You also appear to have picked up a nice car for a really decent price

I've just done an HPI check, is this anything to worry about?

Looks like the previous owner (not current one) had a private plate, which he transferred away the same month he sold it to the current owner. The private plate must have been moved to the Vauxhall, which was subsequently stolen.

RenaultSport Megane 275 Trophy announced.

Seems a bit meh to me. A kneejerk reaction from Renault to fight the Leon Cupra. Flappy paddles would have made it more exciting (although I appreciate that isn't the general consensus).

And if it IS going to be £30k, that's totally not in the vein of the RS ethos IMO.

£2,500 at a push really. But I know that might be a struggle as ideally it will already have an after market exhaust of some sort, lowered in some way (Sportlines would be perfect), cup spoiler as well. I'd love it in Racing Blue, but backup option would be Black Gold.

Any other subtle mods would be a bonus.

This is perfect, apart from the colour and the cup interior: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...sport-clio/hi-spec-182-inferno-orange/2305638

He said he would sell it with the Recaros but that'll only push the price up.

*Edit* Just seen that he sold it to someone else after agreeing on a price with you. Not a nice thing to do, give him some grief on Cliosport.

Yeah I thought that was a bit off as well, he said the other guy is coming to pick it up tonight. I understand why he did it but it is a bit out of order. I wouldn't have done the HPI check otherwise!

Not so keen on that one, I'd like one that I don't need to do anything to, but that one would need a new Renaultsport badge, that white clio badge looks a bit naff, as do the white wheels, no cup spoiler too. Sorry if it sounds like I'm being picky, well actually I am being picky :p

After sinking so much time and money into my last one, I just want one that is ready to go from the day I buy with all the subtle mods that I like. Basically I want my old one back :p
