Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I've got a 172 that's worth about 5p if that helps? Lol.

Tax and MOT last month, Insurance and 4 new tyres needed this month. Bloody thing, I wish it would die.

Well the Megane went last week and I've now picked up a 182 Trophy, #393. So ive essentially gone full circle: ph2 172 > 200 cup > 250 cup > Trophy.

I miss the rattle free interior, precise gear change and road presence :(

But I've got a list as long as my arm of things Id like to do. Steering wheel retrim, Yanoo stiff shift, Xenons, rattle hunting/eliminating!

No no not what I meant pal.

Retail from Renault for the V6/Trophy stuts is something ridiculous like £200 per strut. BMW 1 Series bonnet struts (which are exactly the same) are about £10 a pop.

Good to know, I did briefly toy with the idea of a V6 spoiler for mine.

It's ok dude I've got a 182 that's worth about 10p :p

I blame cliosport for how little these cost though, everytime I see a 'what's it worth' thread they drop it right down. Cliosport forum basically dictates how much they are worth too.

Suits buyers though.

Be lucky if I see 1800-2000 for mine now shes on 100k.

I've just bought myself a BG in 182. It has a full scorpion exhaust set up, k tec coilovers and a k&n air filter. It needs a couple of bits doing to it but nothing major. It's just done 64k and cost me £2000.

130k, clutch and gearbox on borrowed time, dented boot, shoddy bucked wheels, assortment of random broken things. Makes a good track **** through :D.

I like that they are cheap. If I need a semi decent car for non track work I will look at a 182.

Going to whip the doorcards off the 182 Trophy at some point and stuff some foam behind the plastic honeycomb that guides the window glass. They are both rattling their arses off at the moment its doing my head in!

I also need the dash top off for similiar but I dont fancy that... :(

Know them feels. Dented bonnet, alloys I sprayed myself (did not work too well), suspension needs a refresh and exhaust not sitting right causing a massive noise.

Apart from that though, she's been serviced well and wants for nothing. Has never let me down. A full refresh, dents sorted and an alloy re-spray and she would be awesome.

Going to stick my 172 up for sale

how does this advert sound to you guys ?

Just to be a cynic...
"The car starts first time" - Well of course it should. If it doesn't then it's broken!

"pulls strongly" - Owner rags it and gives the car death. Avoid.
