Tom are you in the Overclockers social? if not add me Xylonite#2178 tonight im going to run a few act1 bounties on t3 and then do some rifts, dont be scared by the difficulty, if you hang back and keep moving etc you should be fine ;) i will smack everything you just need to pickup the loot hehe. your more than welcome to join me.

Awesome, I'll drop you an add. :)

Should I really go out of my way to farm these items?

Ring of Royal Grandeur, Aughild's shoulders and helm

Cain's boots and gloves or Asheara's boots and gloves.

2 pieces of Blackthorns

Or should I just rely on rifts and bounties?

You can't farm any items specifically other than ones which drop from caches.

Out of those items you've listed only the RRoG is actually dropped (Act 1 cache) the rest are crafted.

So in these rift it forward groups at what stage are you required to do a clear to the boss? I can understand paying to open a rift but aren't there just loads of people leeching the rifts by not clearing to the boss themselves?

Complete 5 caches on T4, no one online to join :p

Anyone around now and want 5 free caches? Teaf#1614

Seems a waste to just hand in without inviting some people.

Edit: Handed in :)

@D3, finally got Crit % onto that shield lol! It got to about 1.8M/reroll before I got it though.

Been playing with a 2 spender build on Crusader, relying on Shield Glare, Akarat's and Laws of Valour unstoppable to regain Wrath. Could try and get a decent pair of Reapers Wraps too for some extra Wrath.

With Akarat's and Laws of Valor up I can spam Fist of the Heavens for a good 10-15 seconds non-stop, hammer is good for other times as it's a cheaper spender :)

Testing out with Wrathful instead of Holy Cause, deal less dmg but should be better for sustain.

Have to thank my 2 year old for climbing into bed at 5am and snoring right in my ear. It made me get up and run a couple of rifts, the last of which dropped me a very well rolled set of marauders pants. This opens up a whole bunch of gearing routes now so looking forward to testing some combos out tonight!

Spent most of my gaming day trying to get enough gold to keep generating Flawless Imperial gems to re-roll my Stone of Jordan. Been through about 10 rolls at 900k a pop without joy at the moment. Frustration is getting to me now!

damn blizzard and this double legendary week, its taking me away from playing dark souls 2 :)

my wizard is able to handle t4 solo comfortably now and before the week started i could handle t2 comfortably, thx to their mess up in ground effects it made me up my defence a lot and in turn i have a lot of defence v elites and dmg :)

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Xzenon-2611/hero/13331450

thats my profile as it stands at the moment the shock pulse triggers the weapon effect nearly every time which in its self deals a load of dps its like a second wiz been there and the tal rasha chucking down 3 differnt meteor types is been awesome to me.

any ideas what gear to go for next? im wanting a lightning soj but i only have a fire one in storage and ive spent millions trying to get my off hand to do shockpulse dmg :(

<-- xzenon :)

had fun late tonight/this morning :P with some guildies i have nearly 300 rift keys so can boost or help out guys to level up and get loot shards what ever by giving them free rifts in t2 they get free boost loot shard i get better chance at drops win win, once im done with my hang over thats impending ill be up for opening more rifts and team fun :)

Totally getting trolled farming for RRoG, I've had about 20 leg rings drop over the last few days.

And that will give me a big boost in dmg, with 2 piece Natalya's and 3 piece Mauraders being upgraded.

Is it worth me going out of my way to get them crafted? Would they be 'must have' items? Or would I likely get better drops from rifts and bounties?

EDIT - I crafted Aughilds helm. I don't understand. It's only level 42 and it sucks? My level 70 legendary helm is much better and gives me 10% more damage.

Been playing with a fun, if somewhat effective build for my Crusader. I am not sure it's the best thing going but it is interesting to play.

Requires:

6 pc Akkhans set (5 with RRoG).
Blade of Prophecy
Around 40% CDR if you can get that high, closer to 50% is better but lose a lot of stats.

Build:

Blessed Hammer - Burning Wrath
Steed Charge - Nightmare
Falling Sword - Superheated
Akarat's Champion - Fire Starter
Condemn - Reciprocate
Bombardment - Annihilate

Passives:
Heavenly Strength
Blunt
Indestructible
Finery

Video of this in action below, on the right elite packs, even on T6 this can take a whole chunk of their HP. You also get pretty good manoeuvrability with the Steed Charge and Falling Sword.

I did not have Harrington buff here, as you can imagine with that up and the same skills you can do a lot of dmg in a very short space of time :D

Been playing with a fun, if somewhat effective Fire based build for my Crusader. I am not sure it's the best thing going but it is interesting to play. I have been completing T6 rifts up to the RG in approx 10 minutes with this. Crusader is slow at killing the RG on T6 so it takes me a couple of minutes to finish the job after that.

As much +Fire % as you can get, Amulet, Cindercoat with RRoG is nice, Bracers (with these 3 you can get up to 60% + fire). I also am using a Lidless Wall with some Fire %.

Nice to haves:

Unity ring. Without it may not be able to do T6 that effectively.
Maximus can replace BoP but it's not as good for Condemn.

Blessed Hammer - Burning Wrath
Steed Charge - Nightmare

Rotation of skills is pretty much start with Akarat's, then hit Condemn, Bombardment, and Falling Sword last. Finally run about with the horse for a bit of extra fire damage on the ground, collect any health globes with it too :)

Hammer is the only spender, so I just use that to clear up whatever is left, I have no problems with no generator with so much Akarat's uptime that Akkhans provides.

Note: I am using Unity with my follower, I can (and have) killed everything in a T6 rift except for the boss using my SoJ instead, but obviously Unity makes it easier!

I will try and record an entire rift start to end with it...

anyone else feel that at current Leg drop rate boosted at 100% - that its about "the right drop rate"

still quite a bit of farming but feels like you are getting somewhere

should be permanent IMO :)

Yeah it does feel nice for now but having that even for a few weeks would mean everyone will likely be fully geared and when this happens many stop playing and this is what Blizzard don't want.

My PC specs are

i3 3220
8GB DRR3
GTX560Ti
500GB HDD

Playing on default graphics settings (which is pretty much everything on high and AA enabled) when I'm in a group run and their is lots going on on screen, my FPS can dip is low as 20 and it starts to feel very sluggish and not very responsive.

Does that performance sound about right for my PC? I was running on 4GB previously and upgraded to 8GB and it has helped a bit.

The HDD I'm running the game from is quite a slow HDD meant for recording and playing media than an actual OS running from it. I'm wondering if this could have an effect on the performance of the game?

I have ordered an SSD just in case.
