BMW and M Power Owners

Thanks, I agree it looks awesome in white! Especially with the comp pack wheels. I've just driven it back from Wales so its now covered in flies! I'll be cleaning it tomorrow so will get some decent pics then!

Does anyone know how to switch the yellow halo lights off on an e92? It appears that regardless of how bright it is, they are always on unless the car is off.

Stunning weather today so took the M out on a blast with some mates

What are you comparing it to?

I find them pretty good for a 2 seat rag top - If you're coming from a 5 or 7 series class of car you may well be disappointed though!

Hi guys, anyone got any info on what the SMG gearbox is like in an E46 M3? I fancy an M3 but unsure if I should go for the Manual or SMG version. So any input is appreciated. Thanks

God the BMW options price list is more frightening than ever

530d auto SE touring with a few (and i genuinely mean a few) options and I've added £7k onto their £33.5k standard car. No HUD or expensive packs etc

(un?)Luckily it remains no issue as spending £30k plus on a car is currently not reality for me anyway!

M-Sport is also available, extra £3k or so.

Problem is then that M-Sport Plus is only another £2k. And really you want the pro nav, another £1300. Both these would really be the minimum spec for an M-Sport IMO. And another couple hundred for Sports Auto (a must have).

All of a sudden you're at £37k. Still a great price for a great car. But a long way north of £31k. Which is a great price for a stripped out 530d that will still be generous enough on the spec.

That's for saloons though. Add another couple k if you want the touring. BMW don't take long to up the basic cost with options. And not even options that you would be happy dropping either. M-Sport Plus is great value, and the pro nav really makes the interior feel a million times better.

BMW do like there options and package prices don't they :)

I couldn't resist the M sport + package on the 1 series and the pro-nav adds so much tech/functionality to the car. Shame they are pretty worthless later on, the car will sell quicker but be worth nothing like the option costs.
I went option crazy. :o
M sport +
Sun protection.
Pro Nav.
Sun roof.
Extended storage.
Driver Comfort.
Sports Auto.
Enhanced Bluetooth

Don't regret any of them!

Can anybody in here comment on the fuel economy of the original 2004 onwards 1 series?

I'm looking mainly at 120i's and 120d's but may also consider 118i's and 118d's.

The numbers look good, but a-lot of people are reporting fuel economy which is nowhere near the printed figures, and still others report even worse fuel economy but it turns out to be down to a faulty sensor or something I believe?

I know manufacturers do exaggerate the numbers at times...

I'd be happy to hear any common issues I should be aware of as well if anyone has the time. :)

Many thanks in advance. :)
