And that's totally understandable when Old Labour (and the Unions) were the only party looking after the working man.

Is there anyone in the current Labour Party that isn't an OxBridge PPE graduate these days?

how are they looking after the 'working' man now? they have flooded the country with immigrants so there are more people chasing fewer jobs.

Irrelevant. We're supposed to be taking the high ground, and human rights apply to all humans. If we allow the state to strip someone's human rights in one scenario, it's not a great leap for them to be able to strip them in another scenario. That's not a situation I want to end up in, to be honest, and the benefits of legislation such as the ECHR outweigh those few cases in which we have been unable to deport people from the country.

I wouldn't know, I've never really looked into their members, not being one to agree with their policies. :p
 
I paraphrase a comedian but it's something I agree with;

"I don't understand people protest voting for UKIP. If you are going to protest vote for someone who is a joke not a pack of nasty ********. It's like ******* in your hotel bed as a protest against bad service then realising you have to spend the night sleeping in it"

Those who are genuinely voting for them are an even scarier breed but that's another story :p

In the process of helping the working man they would destroy the economy. It would be interesting if you could monitor the net gain to a working man.

of course it is... some crimes should waive your human rights good bye as they are inhuman by nature and the people committing these acts are less than human.

They are the backbone but what I said was not rubbish lol. Labour destroying the economy and the Tories fixing it is the backbone of British politics.

Has anyone actually considered that many people who vote UKIP do so because they're racist and/or homophobic? It's seems there's quite a few people in denial over how xenophobic parts of this country still are.

I was disappointed but not surprised that my mother in law voted UKIP.

She maybe misguided, but so are 99% of the electorate. Basically, she doesn't want foreigners living here.

People may disagree with her, but she has a view, and a vote.

I don't believe UKIP rise is a protest. They are having success because they've made it acceptable to be publicly xenophobic again.

or are you just calling the people there "scum" as its predominantly a BME community? I guess this view fits perfectly with the notion that UKIP voters = racist scum, as you openly admit you voted for them, and are airing racist views
