Is it anywhere near quiet though? Looking at quiter systems now but still want the obnoxious 4.5" angled tailpipe?

Really quiet. Even at full rpm it's meant to be no louder than stock. It's got a decent silencer on it behind the back box. So not a straight through but loads more free lmflowing than stock.

It's like this except mine is full stainless all the way through

I think this more like a refresh steering wheel fluid, maybe only a flush will get read of old fluid.
Any way i went today to MB and ask about the changing the PS oil and they said is life time item jut to top up. I bought some liquid and perform the refreshing

Tools:
Pela 6000 oil extractor
Multi-grade oil from MB A001989240310 MB 345.0 approval oil
Empty bottles
Remove the cap and suck old oil, replace with fresh , start the car and turn the steering wheel maxim to right and left 10 times or more. Suck the oil again and replace with fresh... I was afraid to use the flush method because of air going in the system.
The first tow times when i empty the thank the liquid was BLACK noting like clear green liquid from the new bottle. You can see from my picture the color.
I left the liquid about min of 80 deg on the stick as my car was hot.
The first think after doing this i notice a reduce sound or no sound when i turn the steering wheel to maxim, not sure if placebo.
Not sure how MB left this oil as life time.

serviced the taxi, ordered 2 new rear suspension arms to go with the trailing arms ordered last week and booked it in for some custom mapping :)

Car passed 123,000 the other day, gave it the once over and everything seems fine.

Still need to put the hubcaps back on because it looks neglected without them on even though it isn't. Still need to get round to cleaning them properly.

Saw a car I'd really rather like for sub £700 which is only 13 miles away, but I'm not sure whether or not to go and take a look. It is older than my car (15 years old vs 12 years old) and has higher mileage (140K vs 123K) but had no advisories on the last MOT and has MOT & Tax remaining for a few months.

I'd be much happier with it than I am with my current car (it is bigger, quicker, more torquey, has more toys, looks to be in better condition) but at the same time it would feel strange going from my car to a car which is older, higher mileage and worth less.

Would have loads of change to fix/refresh parts, and if it played ball I would likely keep it for quite some time. But I don't know...

Help a old lady with her Hyundai Amica, she had a miss fire on cylinder 4. Replaced the spark plugs and leads and erase code from ecu.

I can just about refill the washer fluid in mine!
if something doesnt work, i turn it off, and back on again and wait for the light to go out. Thats about all i dare do... which is odd, considering im a dual trained electrical/mechanical engineer.
im competant with tools, but i just dont dare touch my car!

Had an aborted attempt to route the wiring in the boot for the extra boot lamp I'm fitting after spotting one of the clip housings on the boot side trim was breaking away from the panel so had to repair that instead. It locates a very secure clip so takes some stress when you have to pull the panel off. And it decided to rain

Least I had a win last night, had a creaking noise for ages on drivers side which always thought was my sunglasses rattling in the holder mounted on the headliner above the door. Packing it with bubble wrap and the noise still there, eventually realised it was coming from the door itself around the switch-pack. Amazing how noises can travel inside the car making it hard to find the source.

Just ordered spare clips in preparation for removing the doorpad then found info on the web showing how the removal process. On the Focus there's a large section of trim clipped into the door pad which hides the bolts etc, and taking this off actually gives you access to the switchpack :) one electrical connector found to be bit rattly even when clipped in so wrapped in nitto foam and seems all quiet now :)

Boot light job finally finished, was waiting for spare lamp holder to come in at Ford dealer and very handy it came with the bare wiring pins as loose items so no soldering needed at that end :)

Took me ages overall to get it done but I'm fairly fussy and very familiar with working on electrics so wanted everything neat and tidy so it looked almost factory fit with no chance of the extra wiring chaffing through on panel edges or causing any rattles etc

Car started making that horriffic metal on metal screeching/scraping sound again when I went to drive it home just now. It is intermittent and whenever I need to show someone (my mechanic for example) it doesn't do it.

This time I pulled over, took the front nearside wheel off and recorded myself turning the hub, which causes it to make the noise. Poked around in there for ages trying to see something catching on something but could see nothing off... Perhaps something has just dried out and needs greasing.

Just when I thought everything was sorted with this damn car. It is probably playing up because it knows my plans to sell it.

Washed it for the first time in 3 months or so and cut the hedge...

Having a reliable car is dull sometimes, nothing to tinker with! Looks good when it's shiny though :)
