Firefox 29?

One thing that annoys me is how to select text that is a hyperlink? Everytime I do it firefox thinks I want to drag the link. Holding Alt seems to allow me to select text in a link but it is not natural. Is there a way to be able to select hyperlink text normally?

You are trying to highlight it from either the beginning or the end of the hyperlink text right? As select it from the middle will just drag the link.

:p

Just hold alt then :p

Doesn't feel natural? Deal with it :D

There are likely many extensions or stylish scripts to change link select behaviour, just have a cruise around the usual sites! At least with FF it can be changed.

IE does the same so it's not a firefox specific thing.

Well seeing as I have never even used IE in over 15 years I would not know that :p

I was a Opera user and I could select text in links easy.

So often in Firefox it becomes a pain trying to catch the first or last letter with precision otherwise thinks I am dragging. Then theres the problem of it thinking I am trying to highlight images and things as well.

FYI: For anyone new reading, if you want to roll back to firefox 28, just copy the download link for the latest version from the mozilla website(and change the ver=30.0) or whatever part(to 28.0, or whatever you want, play around, it's quite obvious). You can downgrade simply by running an installer for an older version(ie. install an old copy over the top).

I have to routinely reinstall 28.0, because at random intervals firefox will update itself despite being set to "never update". I keep an exe specifically for a reinstall, and my addons all work no problem, sites remembers logins.. etc.. (it happened today as it happens and i've lost nothing)..

I've read about these problems and sadly it eventually causes weirdness for the Firefox profile over time. People have spoken about this over on the Mozilla forums.

FF30 solid for me just like 28,29 etc..I always use System Ninja to delete old Firefox profiles etc....

Nothing to report except very stable and no issues.
