If you use a Sony TV, the TV remote will control the PS4Handy for Blu-ray play etc
Do you have that smart HDMI link thing enabled?
If so I think you can use any decent tv which has HDMI control built in.
Ive only got killzone at the moment, seeing as I got the ps4 a few days ago. But I will add you! cheers. Psn tag is Hixx
Is that an option on the PS4? Unsure TBH. I have an AMP and all my HDMI cables into that, then one HDMI into my ARC TV port from my AMP. My TV has some "smart"feature enabled to sync the PS4 I know that much.

if you turn your ps4 on and your tv is in standby does the tv automatically turn on and go to the correct hdmi channel?
if you change source from tv to ps4, does your ps4 automatically turn on?
i suppose since you have an AVR the link would be with the AVR maybe or it might bypass through to the tv.
your setup will make things even more confusing so just forget i said anything.

no i don't see the point tbh, it sits in an av unit and the only person who looks at it is me.
everything that surrounds it is black also.
loads of people in the mobiles section have used d brand skins for their mobiles. they are regarded as one of the best.
Not really the same though, given the end result is reliant on a) the skin being a precise fit and b) the person applying it. Took me three attempts just to get the one on the back of my Nexus 4 lined up.

they have a video on youtube showing you how to apply them properly.
it seems easy enough, or once you have lined it up you cello tape it to the console and then lift the other side up and remove the edge nearest to the cello tape side and slowly push down as you peel it off

Most modern tv have it. On my sammy tv its called Anynet+ and you can control most things that use hdmi. I can control my ps3 and tv with the tv remote.

I found this the other day when I fired up Drakes 3. Absolutely shocking to aim with.
Its utter garbage.. I've gone and found a long USB cable and plugged my DS4 into my Ps3 sadly it sort of works but the PS button doesn't work..
I was playing GT6 and the triggers on my Ds3 as those real triggers on it, one broke off just as I didn't need it to, lost my time and lost the gold trophy I was aiming for..
Sony, you got the previous controller so , so , so wrong.. I love and hug my Ds4, I can see why so many hated the PS3 controller..
