Tbh it's irrelevant what you think about my cards because they do Literally maxed out every game I have @ 1440p.
Windforce triple fan cooling.

7970 Ghz bios, utter beasts and £300 for the pair. Point of my post was value is subjective, to me two cards at £300 that can run everything is more value than the Titan at £850 that can't. Thing is the people who bought the Titan aren't the ones crying about prices..
Their are bargain cards available right now, nobody needs a Titan. In the same way nobody needs a Ferrari. I don't see many people crying about Ferrari prices, they just accept it's out of their reach. Same principal apply to expensive GPU's..
Ha, no fanboyism here, I really hate fanboyism
I'm planning an all AMD build next year, 12 core Steamroller (If it delivers) and either an 8970 or 8990 (If AMD have value / performance still). I'll sell the Titan to fund it (;
Right now though the Titan is king, there is nothing that comes close. It wipes it's arse with every game I played (Including Tomb Raider).. It laughs at BF3 while throwing out over 100fps @ 1440P maxed out
The 8990 mentioned in another thread looks very promising. That could tempt me back to AMD but i'll go either way depending on performance etc..
My op was just pointing out that anyone listing Lara Croft's hair as a reason not to buy an Nvidia card deserves to be shot, I mean it's so lame. Driver fixes come quick for games and let's not forget AMD have had to do there fair share of driver fixes aswell...
Titan has a stupid amount of power and no rival, that's why Nvidia can charge stupid prices atm..
Those who can't afford one no need to worry.. In a couple of years you will probably be able to get this power at the £300 level. Some of us willing to pay the extra to get it now is all..
I'm planning to switch mine out just before ^^ that happens, hopefully get most of tha money back (;
It's miles behind the Titan, how many 7970's can reach 1200mhz no problems aswell..
If you have the money the Titan is epic, well worth it imho. No other dual setup comes close to it.. If I was considering 2 x 670's or 2 x 7970's or a 7990. I would take a long look at reviews, check the min fps, check out the weird latency issue thing that AMD has. Consider the extra ram, lower power consumption..
I can tell you from my own experience with all of these cards, that nothing comes close to the Titan, it is a monster.

Changing the subject for a sec,
Just got P15130 on 3D Mark 11 with single Titan..
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6155341
I had the weigh up the pros and cons coming from dual 7970's and then a single GTX 670 4GB. One thing I noticed on the single 670 4GB was games although had less overall fps ran much smoother than on the dual 7970's. After reading lots of reviews and benchys l choose the Titan as minimum frames are much higher and the dual cards just aren't as smooth. Also if in a particular game crossfire isn't supported well your back down to single 7970 performance..
If your gonna watercool at least it'll reduce heat and noise, another thing to consider is the Titan may have more resale value later on over a dual card like the 7990..
I'm sure you will be happy with the 7990, I'm just saying it's lots of money lol so I would consider all your options ..
^^ This, I came from a single 670 4GB @ 1254mhz it was very fast. Still the Titan blew it away, feels as fast as 7970 crossfire but much smoother with less power use, single card..
I'm running 1440P screen and Titan really is ideal, yeah it's expensive but when you factor in the performance and 6GB frame buffer is it really that bad?
I could have gone dual 670 4GB for similar price of 1 Titan and had higher max fps but use more power consumption, less performance in games that aren't great with SLI and more heat in my case..
We're getting all of this now aswell at a time when upgrades are very small and there really isn't anything new out, or on the near horizon especially from AMD's side.. I really don't think it's that bad.. Can always buy it, enjoy it, sell it before the next cards launch, keep the value in PC..
The bitterness of not being able to get one yet fills them rage.. It boils up inside them until they can't take it anymore and must troll in order to make themselves feel better..
Oooh it's expensive..
Oooh it downclocks..
Oooh Lara's hair ! (Oh wait that was another thread)

I think we just have to assume that those that buy a Titan are like those buying other high end parts 3960x etc. Just want the best, price is annoying but overall irrelevant.
At least that's how I looked at it, I wanted the best single GPU. I can see me selling in the future if AMD offer something similar for less, right now there is no alternative. So it is what it is..
Really? My last card was a 4GB GTX 670 @ 1254mhz, the Titan totally wipes the floor with it, all games I've tried are smooth as butter. Amazing performance for a single card imho, it feels as fast as my old 7970 Crossfire setup without the noise / heat. I do think it's pricey but Nvidia have never been known for giving value to the customer. We're basically getting next gen performance now rather than later and it costs...
I would prefer the Titan over any dual setup, I guess it's around 670 SLI performance level with 6GB frame buffer. Not sure how anyone could try this card and be underwhelmed with it's performance. The performance is epic, just a shame the price is also epic. I'm sure it will come down eventually though..
Could always use it, enjoy it, then sell it.
Once the prices settle down and it drops to it's RRP I would say it is worth it's price tag. Considering there is no direct competition Nvidia charge a premium, AMD did the same with the launch of the 7970's.. Were basically getting GTX 780/8970 performance (Maybe better performance?) now rather than in 6 months or whatever.. When AMD can get something to compete the prices will come back down to earth. problem is rumors are AMD are busy with other projects, consoles etc so might be a while.. Those buying Titan know there not getting a bang for buck card...
Agreed the 780's do look very nice, but are they worth double the price of a HD 7970? That's the question people should ask themselves. Problem is the 780 is fast but not fast enough to get 60fps @ max settings in the more demanding games @ 1440P even the Titan isn't, so people still need to go the dual GPU card route to achieve 60fps+ anyway, unless you're willing to lower settings, my guess is someone who's spending £600 on a GPU doesn't want to lower settings. So your looking at over £1000 on dual GTX 780's or about £580 - £620 on dual 7970's..
GTX 780 / HD 7970, Same amount of vram, same memory bus, same die node. extra 20% performance.. twice the price? I suppose you do get Physx as well.
Nice cards but to pricey for me. However next year when the prices come down maybe.

I thought you said the Titan could run everything you threw at it?
and then we have this
He did, until he sent it back and went with amd cards. I dont see why people can't be objective about their purchases, instead of just swearing blind loyalty to whatever brand they go with at the time.
It makes me laugh more the one selling the 680 and 670 on bay where it has been used for almost 1 year and they are trying to sell it for the full price. That's the joke.

So its never going to end, what next Titan 2 @£2k?
