what a fail :D

XP in Greater Rifts is nuts. I literally went from 566-568 in 4-5 greater rifts, probably 1-1.5 hours played time as the first greater rifts you enter go quickly.

I got to lvl 29 before I ran out of time. Had 99% progress bar when my 15 mins was up. I was on level 7 of the rift though so not a great one for density.

Goblins had 800M health at lvl 29 (pretty sure T6 has around 300M-400M tops). lvl 25 felt like current T6 is now more or less for difficulty, seems to ramp up quite quickly after that (need to do some more testing later on).

You can't swap items from inventory during greater rifts so no more nemesis bracers or swapping furnace at RG. There are also precious few clickables so Harrington belt will no longer be the best belt to use in Greater Rifts anyway. I will see how my mileage goes with my Witching Hour instead.

PTR reports say that Vigilante Belt now rolls CDR so that might well BiS belt for that reason alone for classes like Crusader which rely on CDR and AC uptime.

HH im copying toons to PTR for testing tonight, Matt should be back soon too, we can do some 4 manning, i'll prob jump onto WD or DH as both are t6 geared (yeah Cru is also but you and Matt prob playing that)

Noob question here, when I look at my profile on the D3 website, how come the stats are lower than when I'm ingame and I'm not using any buffs. like when I 1st log in and am stood in town?

At least the pet ai seems better, tho not totally fixed on the WD on the PTR. Shall give those greater rifts a blat later.

*Side note: left the clan as it just didn`t have the same "feel" to me as the OS one...nothing against the people in it at all, maybe i had an off day :D *

Vigilante belt does roll with CDR, just had one drop :D.

This is my first time participating in a PTR am i right in thinking you don't get to keep anything you find?

That's a shame :(

From what i've experienced, people are very friendly and often, when I've needed helped with bosses (can't solo Belial, Urzael or Maltheal at T2) people will join just to help out and leave. Or, if you're wanting group action (oo err) there's lots of Rift groups every night.

Correct, for that reason I would not play too much. Would suck to find something godly on the PTR and then lose it when it ends! :(

Same, I am not playing live much at the moment as I am going to play ladder in 2.1 - I will be on from time to time but not as much as previously I think as I don't want to burn out before 2.1 :)

Had a quick bash on a Greater rift this morning, my observations so far

1) Whilst you cant change skills and gear within a rift, you can between rifts so when starting a Tier 1 rift, gear for speed clearing to get the fastest possible time and skip some levels, then regear and skill as the difficulty ramps up, unless you want to take advantage of point 2...

2) Each time I have finished a greater rift boss, I have had legendary drops. The first 3 dropped 2x legendary per boss, the fourth dropped 1. I dont know at the moment how this is calculated, whether it has anything to do with speed of clearance (last rift took a while as was level 23 and my Crusader isnt that well geared) or the amount of elites you killed on the way, or whether its completely random. Anyway it does strike me that it could be possible to manipulate the timer so that you finish the rift just before it times out and get only 1 level higher on the next run, hence generating easy runs for legendaries.

3) Further to the above, the greater rift token doesnt appear to be character bound so there is nothing to stop you doing some levels of the rift on one character and then switching to another for later levels. In fact this is what I intend to do with my current level 24 token, as I'm pretty sure my sader wont finish it but there is a chance my DH will. This could be a good way to split gear farming across your chars. Use the lesser geared characters for early tiers and then use your better geared ones later on.

4) When killing in greater rifts, there is a sort of bright orange sparkly thing that looks a bit like a health potion that drops. These add to your rift completion bar so make sure you pick them up. They seem to drop more frequently from elites/champs, I guess to offset the higher hp and lack of immediate loot drops they provide.

5) You cant revive at corpse, but there is no penalty (other than time) for zerg rushing from the checkpoint. If the boss fight is going to be close, try and manipulate the boss spawn so its close to a checkpoint. This could prove particularly useful for classes that respawn with full resources such as DH.

6) Presumably because the levels are infinite, you can skip through low density levels. I havent tried this to its extreme yet but may be more beenficial to jump a level for one with higher density.

7) One negative - I found a pandemonium level in a greater rift :(

They are good fund and as HH says, the exp is insane. Should prove an interesting distraction for a while at least.

That's really interesting, keeps all of the play time exciting rather than having a real drag on the first level (unless they remove the ability to switch, but it is REALLY fast to skip the initial levels if you're over-geared).

Just logged on to find an item I had enchanted has duped 3 times in my inventory. So its working juuuuust fine ;)

Its definitely possible to use the greater rift token on a different char from the one that generated it at any rift tier by the way, at least at the moment on PTR.

Brokkah#2761 for anyone on PTR, add meeee :)
