Good choice.

Here is a quick pic of some of my gear (just so you know I do have a little experience and aint talking rubbish, lol):

From left to right:

Smoktek SID with Aspire BDC (Bottom Dual Coil) Atty. This is actually my preferred pre-built coiled atty. I prefer it by far to the Protank Range.
Siam Mods Hex 18650 V2 with Igo-W RDA with frosted top cap.
18350 Nemesis with Kayfun Lite (KFL) V2
MVP with iClear X1 (another BDC)
Nucleic DNA 30 with Kayfun Light + with clear tank
18650 Nemesis with KFL+ again with clear tank
Vamo V5 in 18650 with Protank 2 with Aspire BDC adaptor (adaptor to allow the use of Aspire BDC coils with a Protank).

My faves at the moment are the Igo W on the Hex, and the KFL's on the Nemi's. But they are all running sub ohm coils.

Seriously hacked off now :( Bought (what I thought was) a reasonable Chi You clone from myepack and a new aerotank. Not one single 18650 battery fits properly in the mod, they're either slightly too short or slightly too long and I've tried 4 different brands now! The Aerotank annoyed me the most, the bottom pin is too short and won't make a connection to the Chi You or my MVP and only one of the coils works, to top it off my i30 tanks coil has blown so I'm left using some leaky, rubbish clearomizer for a few days.

Does the Chi You not have an adjustable pin and button like the Nemesis? So you adjust the top pin, with the atty on (in this case aerotank), until it touches the atty pin, Then you pop in the battery, and adjust the throw on it until the battery rattle stops, and you get a nice throw on the switch.

As for the Aerotank pin being too short, if it's the same / similar as normal Kanger coils, then you just take the coil out and gently wiggle the bottom bung out a mill or so, until it will make the desired connection.

Edit: Just had a quick look at a vid, looks like the bottom firing pin on the switch just screws out to get rid of the battery rattle. Replacing the spring with magnets is also a great idea.

Hmm, never thought of trying to adjust the top pin. Can I get a pair of magnets in the UK? Cheers.

New stock today. . .

The Akuma Copper mod.

Stunning looks and boy does she hit hard!

Comes with its own wooden box that has a matching serial number to the mod itself. Nice.
Button (magnet) and threading is lovely and smooth too.

Every time I hit the switch she hisses and pops at me. One angry mod!

:D

DO WANT!

This thread is too big to read. Basically, I've been smoking for 25 years and I'm fed up with cigarettes. I want to move onto vaping. Can anyone link me to a website that sells a quality vaping product with the oils etc. I've had a look but I haven't a clue what is a good product and what is tat.

Thanks in advance.

I think this would be a good starter kit: http://myepack.co.uk/mini-protank-2-kit.html I have the standard evod Kangertech kit, and has kept me clean of fags!

I get my liquid from here http://www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home and it has been good. I started on 18mg of nicotine and then down to 14mg.

Also, have a look at this website for plenty of info on e-cigs. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/uk-forum/

I am sure others will give you better advice, but my kit worked for me and 4 others that I know, I will in time get a better vaping unit, but for now, my kit is just fine :D

Fixed the aerotank :/ there should be an insulating washer around the pin to stop it shorting, it was sitting in the box with the two O-rings for the atomizers. Both atomizers are def. dead though so I'm using one from the crappy tank I was left with and it fires up fine now.

Thanks for the info m8. Appreciated.

Well I've just taken my first tentative baby steps towards mixing my own juice.

I've just ordered a starter kit from Alchemist's cupboard with some custard concentrate.
I ordered some cappuccino and butterscotch flavourings from Amazon as well.

Also got some wick and wire for the first time to try our re-wicking.

Looks like I'm going to be a busy little vaper when this stuff arrives. :D

Should save me some pennies in the long run, so it's all good. :)

Nice one. It really is very easy. I use the E-Juice me up calculator and it hasn't put me wrong ever.

Custard recipes generally take at least 4 weeks to steep. Don't forget that. Butterscotch will probably be similar time frame.

I LOVE Red Astaire from T-Juice. The concentrate is only around £4 for 10ml (IIRC), and is good to vape pretty much as soon as you've shaken the bottle. It is best after a week mind you, but you can vape pretty much straight away if you want.

Minty The Toff is another great T-Juice flavour, and is my second favourite.

Good luck with your mixing adventures.
