Spanish press reporting fee agreed for suarez is €90m so about £71m I think and no sanchez if true Im not surprised at no sanchez as I didn't think he would join us and I still don't think he will
Supposedly it has been agreed as both a cash deal and with sanchez included, however it's up to him to decide now. Barca pushing for him to go as they're getting a better valuation with us and they pay less cash.
Luis Suarez's move from Liverpool to Barcelona could be completed before the end of the weekend, Sky sources understand.
Talks between the clubs are ongoing, with only the fee for the striker's services the wrangling point.
Liverpool are holding out for £80m for their star forward - a sum that would activate a release clause in his contract - while Barcelona hope to lure him for a figure in the region of £60m.
FIFA have already confirmed that Suarez will be allowed to have a medical ahead of a transfer, despite receiving a four-month ban from football.
The reports I've read from Spain this morning have all been claiming that Barca aren't offering close to what's being suggested, apparently they want to pay about £48m.As well as getting it structured over several years.
Anyway, something from Sky:

Barca's opening bid was 88million euros

I wouldn't have Marca down at the top of the reliability list considering they're Real Madrid's paper.![]()
Guardian said 70mill pounds was the opening bid - 88million euro is 70million quid![]()
Awful being an Evertonian this time of year.
Was hoping that Lukaku was going to have a horrible World Cup to drive down the price, but his performance against the US could mean that we get priced out completely.
Gareth Barry could be coming in over the next week, which is nice.
I guess.
But it just so happens that €55.7m = £70m. Also £48m = €60m.
