Sounds like a bidding war for pogba Madrid , both Manchesters and Chelsea

http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2014/07/06/primera/1404653992_699815.html

and di maria to PSG probably

http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2014/07/07/primera/1404689481_630086.html

Cant see Juve getting rid of Vidal and Pogba, and surely Vidal is the most likely to go (right at his peak now, and possibly looking for a new challange) and would Conte need as much as £60m+ to revitalise his squad?

Can quite easily see Vidal leaving (even if it isnt to Utd), but both of them? Stranger things have happened, but not for me

PSG are determined to totally blow their load in regards to FFP I guess if they are willing to spend ~£40m on di maria (just hope Utd dont spend that kind of cash on him)

Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.

40million on this lot?

I guess they do need to sell Suarez after all, after spending all this on those three.

Brendan Rodgers the new David Moyes? Yes please!! He'll be sacked at this rate!

:p

£40m on three players isn't that much considering some people pay £27m for failini's. :D

Seriously though less than £15m each player isn't too bad.

Exactly this. Especially when its in key positions. Can is potentially a great signing and you know what your getting with Lallana and Lambert.

Arsenal and he's on the wind up, Lallana we've over paid for yes, but 4 mill for Lambert and 10 mill for Can, damn good prices.

Liking the Markovic rumors that have surfaced past few days, 20 mil seems low and considering he is co owned that cant be the true figure. Here's hoping though.

Pretty excited about the news on the Arsenal front this morning with transfers lining up for Sanchez, Debuchy and L. Bender. Would be a mean line up. Szczesny, Debuchy, BFG, Koscielny, Gibbs, Bender, Ramsey, Walcott, Oezil, Sanchez, Giroud. And with players like Wilshere, Cazorla, Rosicky, Arteta, Chamberlain, Campbell, Podolski and Gnabry on the bench if all goes well then we could be looking at a good season for Arsenal. Still need some depth in the centre-half region though.

Willy Caballero to City is looking likely, he is in England for his medical.
5.5m initial fee with further 2.4m for I assume title win's etc is rumored.

Haven't watched a lot of Malaga but from what I can see he has been playing well for the past three years or so and had some great performances.

I would suggest that he is coming in as backup to Hart but will be interesting to see who starts the season.

He makes sense though. Why should a player stick around when the manager that brought him in has gone, the big players from the team are being sold, and no-one knows who is making the decisions?

Because when Pellegrini/Mourinho/etc leave a team every players suddenly wants to leave because the manager that brought them there has left.

He didn't sign a contract with the manager but with the club, and a contract doesn't specify who the manager they will play under is going to be for the length of their contract.

Boo hoo, he doesn't know who is making the decisions.... maybe. He has a contract, he signed it, he gets paid a lot. Most teams aren't controlled by managers regardless of what fans think. Fergie didn't have a blank cheque with which to run his team, they sold Ronaldo because 80mil was more important than Ronaldo to the owners. As it stands, I would say 95+% of players in the league outlast the manager that brought them in with very few managers these days staying longer than 2 years and lots of players staying for longer than that.

Clubs sell top players, the price they got for Shaw and Lallana were simply not able to be turned down. 20mil isn't outrageous while almost 30mil pretty much is for certain players. One lets you buy likely a very good replacement with a little spare, the other lets you buy two very good replacements and strengthen the team overall as say Liverpool are doing with Suarez, as Utd attempted to do with the Ronaldo money(Valencia... lol).

He's being a douche.... he didn't get the move he wanted, the club had the temerity to hold him to the contract he signed willingly and was grateful for.... so he's pretty much refusing to go back?

Going back to exactly what you said, Barca are selling big players, the manager who signed any of them isn't there any more and no one knows who is making the decisions, manager, board, Messi, so why would any player want to stay?

WHat I'm highlighting is that you've described the situation at almost every club on multiple occasions. The only club now in which I can think of to which it doesn't apply(in recent history) is Arsenal because Wenger hasn't left and everyone there was signed by him. What you're effectively saying is that every player in the league outside of Arsenal, should be able to leave because the manager who signed them left. Yet 99% of players in this league don't threaten to strike after a manager leaves, when big players are sold. Which other Spurs players threatened to leave or force their way out after Bale was sold, with a new manager, with who knows making the decisions?

.

Concurs with that, its always a bit of a risk getting youngsters from abroad but Can for that amount isnt that bad even if he just offers cover for a season or two and then LFC sell him on, should be able to get a good proportion of that back (worst case)

wont it be more like 100m? average signings to replace someone like suarez wont work just look at spurs

10 mil for can
10 for origi
25 for markovic
25 for lovren
4 for lambert
25 for lallana

Getting Lambert for 4 mil is a steal really considering he's a Liverpool fan as well. You can be sure that he'll play his heart out and that's priceless really.

Do you think all of those are upfront fees ? Lallana's for eg is rumoured ro be more like 17 mil with add ons.

We wont pay 25mil from Lovren and Markovic upfront and Origi's fee is 6mil up front with the rest add ons.

But we are also having to build a squad to play in more matches to the UCL this season.
