What games first got you into PC gaming ?

Little Big Adventure, which is the reason I don't mind games with tank controls and use the arrow keys to move :p. Star Wars Jedi Knight II was what forced me to buy my first GPU upgrade and then Bioshock is what made me get fully into PC building and thus fully into PC gaming.

Duke Nukem 3d

remember me my brother and dad standing round the PC waiting for our turn.

then when I got my own pc it was CS source, Practically lived on it!

If we're talking DOS/Windows:

I can remember buying as many Sierra/Lucasarts games as I could afford.

Stunt Island
Commander Keen
Doom

A lot of Bullfrog and Lucas Arts stuff.

Built my first PC in 1994 specifically to play Arena, the first in the Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda. Before that I was gaming on Amigas and all the way back to the Sinclair Spectrum and beyond.

Snap. Well, at least regarding the Computers. I wasn't aware of the Elder Scrolls series until Oblivion.

Lemmings and Wolfenstien 3D on an Amstrad (DOS), then to a Time pc. And then own built with TFC which i played for yonks! ...

Still play on and off these days.

Online wise...

Kingpin for sure, loved real mode DM or Bagman. Although I think Motorcross Madness was one of my first online games. I soon went onto Unreal and Q2, anyone remember the chicken mod? I also remember the HPB / LPB abuse heh.

Single player wise it was Grim fangdango or a golf game that I can't remember the name of.

Good old days, I miss em.

LOTR Battle for Middle Earth (first one). It ran at like 10 fps on my laptop but I spent days playing that game. After that it was BF2142 and that was it. I started getting obsessed with improving performance and ended up here. £7k later and I have wrists that always click and borderline RSI.

My friend had Command & Conquer and Quake back in the day. What it really was though was playing the original Worms, I was absolutely mesmerised. Then he showed me quake and thought how on earth do you play with a keyboard and mouse, soon got into it. For me though it was really the Quake and UT that got me into it. I think my first decent PC was an AMD K6II 450 and a Voodoo 3.
