What games first got you into PC gaming ?

For me it was Doom 1 on the PC. But I was into gaming a long time before that on the Amiga, C64, VIC20, ZX81, various early consoles like Colecovision and Atari VCS and the arcades before that with Defender, Scramble, Luna Lander, Pacman and Space Invaders.

I really did see this whole thing start.

some great games above. For me it was:

The original C&C
Dungeon Keeper
Populous

Plus of course the original doom. That was the first multiplayer game I played.

I was into games before pcs having an Atari 1040ste and an Amstrad 464 prior to that lol. First PC game I remember playing a lot was simcity 2000 (original on the atari) and the first X-Com!

I was a console gamer back in the early nineties but it was Doom that made me sit up and take notice of the PC.

It was Interstate 76 that I first got for my brand new 233mmx. Initially I was a bit disappointed as it stuttered quite a bit but then I discovered I didn't have enough ram so I bought 16mb to boost my current 32mb to 48mb and it helped a great deal.

Not long after, Unreal, Quake 2 and 3DFX came along and that was that, I was hooked.

Same as a lot I suspect - played a lot of Duke Nukem, Quake, C&C with a mate who had 2 computers but the game to make me buy my own PC was Total Annihilation.
