I am not sure I agree with your opinion of Giroud. That said I do agree he is not good enough to be Arsenal's main striker. We need someone who can beat a few players and go and score. Sanchez should hopefully be able to do that if we sign him.

From what I saw of Sonogo, I was puzzled how he was even playing for our first team. I would rather have Akpom play than him, which I am sure would do a better job than Sonogo did. Sonogo needs to go on loan for a few years and for us to bring back Joel Campbell which currently is a much better player than Sonogo in my opinion.

Happy to see Bentner gone finally. That guy could have done much better if not for his ego. In the end he was a waste of space and I am glad to see him move on.

Wonder what will come of Ryo Miyaichi. Seems he did not develop into the player we was hoping.

Shame about Khedira rumours not being true. We really could use a player like him.

I'm glad he's gone, he's tried to leave and had clubs lined up for like 3 years and Wenger keeps screwing up replacement deals then screws Bendtner as a result. He had a club lined up again last summer but a replacement deal fell through so Wenger wouldn't let Bendtner go... but he was unwilling to actually play bendtner so we paid him to do nothing.

He has no particular ego.. he one time said he WANTED to be the best striker in the world, there is no young player who hasn't said similar. Despite almost never having a real run of games, despite playing all over the pitch and despite injury/lack of form he has a 1 in 3 scoring record, a good assist record and any time he played a few games in a row he showed excellent form. He was excellent for Sunderland, excellent for Birmingham and excellent for us. The only thing lacking was number of games and Wenger randomly refusing to rotate the team to give other players a chance... which led to multiple unnecessary injuries for those players who got over used.

Excellent record for Denmark as well. Wenger almost did the same to Vela. Wenger decided he couldn't let both of them go and ended up letting Vela leave. He could just as easily have let Bendtner go and screwed Vela keeping him around but refusing to actually play him. HIlariously the few times he did play Bendtner, he got goals and helped us win games... only played when Wenger was forced into it via injuries, despite playing well he still gets no games when other players were fit again, choosing the woeful Sanogo over him.

Vela was one of the probably top 10 strikers in La liga in his first year, probably top 8 or so now in the league for 3 years sustained. Massively better than Giroud, we lost him for no reason other than Wenger refused to play him, way more than good enough for Arsenal, way way more, and very versatile, either wing or up front easily.

Wenger does this over and over again to so much of our talent. Buys them, never plays them, ruins the most important spell 18-24. Jenks another one getting burned for joining Arsenal.

Don't get Wenger, absolutely refuse to use Bendtner except when literally no other choices... but refused to just replace him, for 3 years at least..... buy someone you WILL play and sell the guy you won't.

I disagree with both the comments made about Sanogo and Giroud. Giroud is a great striker that anyone in the top 6 would gladly have in their roster. He scored over 20 goals in all comps last year and fully deserves to be in the team, I'd like to see someone else there who can give him a bit more competition. And Sanogo is only young and when he started against Liverpool + Bayern he looked brilliant, don't judge him on his current goal return as he still needs to grow into Premier League football but looking at his movement and awareness he looks like he will become a decent striker in years to come.

I enjoy them both but I do hope we get Remy to provide the alternative for when Giroud is having a poor game although with Theo and Sanchez (looks to be happening) as wide men I can only think Giroud will only have a better season than last.

Pretty sure there is more to it than that. Things that happen that we are not privy to. We just see it from the outside and judge. That said results is all that matters in the end I guess.

Ángel di María heads up Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United wish list
• Argentina forward being monitored by incoming manager
• Germany defender Mats Hummels open to Old Trafford move

Ángel di María is being monitored by Manchester United’s incoming manager Louis van Gaal, who has identified the Argentina and Real Madrid forward as a potential summer target. The Germany defender Mats Hummels would also be open to a move to United if Borussia Dortmund agree to sell him.

If United were to land both players it could cost the club up to £75m, with the deals being financed by the sale of current players. Marouane Fellaini, Nani, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa are among those who Van Gaal may consider offloading.

A slightly more reliable source on this, if we can get Hummels and Di Maria and ship out Young that would be great.

Hummels, Di Maria and Vidal and I would do a massive sex wee. That would be the makings of a title winning squad. If not this season then the next barring a Spurs style collapse which is unlikely as we have a good manager and we would have actually bought quality players.

De Gea

Rafael Hummels Jones Shaw

Herrera Vidal

Januzaj Mata Di Maria

RvP

That would be fearsome!
