a united fan is in no position to talk about a season collapse

I think you will find we know all about them. We didn't ***** £100m on complete rubbish after selling our best player though ;)

Without the drag factor of Moyes and with good signings I don't think we have to worry about a repeat of last season or a "Spurs".

Hummels, Di Maria and Vidal and I would do a massive sex wee. That would be the makings of a title winning squad. If not this season then the next barring a Spurs style collapse which is unlikely as we have a good manager and we would have actually bought quality players.

De Gea

Rafael Hummels Jones Shaw

Herrera Vidal

Januzaj Mata Di Maria

RvP

That would be fearsome!

Yep that would be awesome. One can hope!

Sounds like Evra is off to Juventus then. We need someone who can cover for Shaw, so I guess that'll be whoever we sign as a centre back, or we can promote a younger player. I guess Evans can fill in there but it's far from ideal.

AS in Spain seem convinced we've bid for Di Maria, as have PSG, but our offer is higher (in the £40m region). The last couple of seasons he's become a far more dangerous player and I certainly wouldn't be unhappy if we paid that for him, considering our current circumstances. PSG will likely offer something ridiculous though, as well as guaranteeing Champions League football and a free league title.

It does appear we're in some sort of initial negotiations for Vidal, but it won't be straight forward and will be expensive.

I think we're going to need Van Gaal back to sort out these bigger deals.

No chance Vidal will go to Man United. Dont think he would even look at them tbh.

I don't see why not. We can pay him more than Juventus, we are a bigger club and we are fairly confident about being in the CL next season.

Like every transfer it depends how much we offer the club and player, where he wants to go, what other clubs are interested and a host of other factors but there is no reason to think he wouldn't come to United.

Real Madrid.

Agree.

Real Madrid.

Real Madrid interest doesn't seem concrete at all.

Real Madrid have a wealth of players already in that area and have been linked with Pogba, James Rodriguez, Kroos and a number of other midfielders. Your assumption is that Real want him and that he would want to go to a team where he has a good chance of being 2nd or 3rd choice vs somewhere he would be guaranteed a starting place.

I guess we'll see.

I support Juve and honestly there is no chance he will be at Man United next season, if he were to leave it would be for a team challenging for the CL every year.

He will most likely only want to go to a latin country as well, he hated Germany and wanted to leave for Spain or Italy after Leverkusen even though he could have went to Bayern a year later for free.

I doubt he would like to live in England tbh.

United didn't collapse, they were **** poor from the opening day of the season. Spurs have had multiple collapses now in recent years where they'd had amazing patches but ultimately faltered badly when it mattered.

I can't remember any massive collapses when Fergie was in charge, and even if they did it can be forgiven when you look at the overall success during his reign.

I don't think we'll get him either, but I do think there's a chance.
