Wasn't the point that they have a load of decent kids, essentially... so bringing in people like Cole/Senderos/Richardson, who admittedly aren't great players, could add useful experience to the squad?

We had loads of decent kids that never lived up to potential, whether it be due to poor coaching, lack of playing time or just not being as good as we hoped. The only one that's really shown to be any decent left on a free to Leicester at the start of the summer. The fact that we've spent years trying to get rid of the over-payed, ageing dross at the club it's bewildering that we've signed three borderline 30+ players so far this summer.

As for Sanchez, fantastic signing imo. Can't wait to see him play next year.

When I first saw Eriksen he was playing wide right for Denmark (U21s?) and I was very impressed. He's more than capable of filling the role.

Sanchez = diving ****. English press will have a field day with him :)
Only plus point is he will inject a bit of pace up front that we really lacked once Walcott got injured. Will be interesting to see how Wenger chooses to use him i.e:
-Main striker, replacement for Giroud
-Formation change and plays alongside Giroud (unlikely)
-Maybe on the left/right of the 3 behind Giroud

Well with Suarez leaving the EPL needed another diver :p

Brings back the glory days of Mr Robert Pires :D

Sanchez could well be a fantastic bit of business - interested to see how good he will be in a team where he is expected to be the main man instead of second fiddle to Messi.

Hoping that the Sami Khedira thing also pans out - would be a very sucessful transfer window in my eyes then.

I'm not too keen on Khedira if he's (reportedly) demanding to be the highest earner at the Emirates. Falling back on Lars Bender would surely be better business?

I have to agree with you with regards to the wages. We don't want to be paying that much a week - however if we can bargain him down to something more reasonable say 100k then I think he is the better option.

Bender is a good player, I'd happily take him at Arsenal, I just think Khedira is better.

I imagine if we sign either that'll be the death knell for Arteta & Diaby which should help free up funds.
