My Monk has 3 times your toughness and probably 2 times your elemental elite dps, yet without unity she still dies often on T5.

There is no equilibrium. The only reason you think there may be one is because you have pets to tank and kill for you, while you concentrate on clicking weapon racks, opening chests or watching a movie on the second screen. :D

There is, it's just at a different point for each class. My two main chars are WD and Monk, so I know what you mean! Profiles below.

Good shout, cheers!

Get your yellows gems maxed and your basically set :)

About your build, are u having problems with survivability.?

If not with that gear I would suggest focusing either on using burning dog (Fire) or Rabid (Poison) one. Both will absolutely own elites.

Fire = better crowd and area damage (needs fixed)
Poison = best single target damage

However with the focus on physical and % on summoning dog on your kit, are u trying to get a balance with both the fetishes and your dog? I personally opted to focus on one or another

Ie my poison dog will crit about 65 -100 mill on average and I haven't even got any gems at all on my gear nor reroll a decent amulet yet.

Yea, topaz's are in progress, just waiting on the cash flow!

The advice I got from more experienced WD's than me (I'm a monk player really, but looked for alternatives since monk's are so screwed atm) was to go for physical, which is why I went that route. No great hardship to respec if I need to. Always interested in other viewpoints to see what I should change.

I'm almost certain that there is some leg balance going on, I used to drop a stupid amount for 1-2 weeks maybe 3-5 each run and now if I get 1 a ran I'm happy. I've gone through 6 runs without even a forgotten soul.

Just to test this further I mean a new char and for awhile again the legs were rolling in, and at some point it stopped and dropped to 1 a run, or 0 a run. Maybe its just my luck but it seems like something is happen.

Yep I don't believe for a second they kept the anniversary buff for legs permanent, don't get anywhere near as many dropping as I did whilst that was active.

I'm not sure if they've changed anything... or if it is just 'luck'/'probability'.

It is very easy for people to say "I don't get any legendaries in groups" or the opposite, "I only get legendaries in groups". But in reality all they are experiencing is the % chance occurring to fit their particular belief.

I did lvl 0 - 70 solo on my Crusader when I bought RoS about 4 weeks ago now. During this time I got 3 legendary drops. If you work out how long I played to do this, and see how many legendary drops you're getting per day/evening it will be far better.

I just wish we didn't get the trash legendaries. Waiting for KriderShot bow, or Calamity 1H crossbow and then a 'Bow' or '1H Crossbow' drops is bad for the nerves...

I believe this to be true also, last 3 weeks I played, legendary drops were FAR lower than ever before. Stopped playing since two weeks now, game has become pointless for me. Spending so much time with little to no reward, just not worth it and not fun anymore.

Its happened again. As with all Blizzard games, ive hit the wall.

I logged on last night after 2 weeks of house moving and no internet. I ran Ghom several dozen times, and i realised what i was doing.

Once again, a la WoW, i realised i'm just gearing up characters so that i can gear up more characters. The endless grind.

Guess im done.

Happens to the best of us, best thing to do is come back at some later date when there is more stuff added, worked for me the last 2-3 times I stopped playing D3 :D

I for one am waiting for the 2.1 update to really play on live, the achievement of gearing up my guy from scratch should keep me going for a bit.

Where does this thinking end though? Why do an FPS - you are essentially trapped on rails through a story with a finite ending. There is no ultimate reward.

Why do any MMO as you are basically grinding in any shape or form, with no reward. If you get the best gear, you still get nothing real.

Why do an RTS like DoW or COH? If you win you get nothing.

Ad infinitum.

Sounds like you're burnt out.

For information, the community and competitiveness should be fire you are looking for.

Fps and rts multiplayer have the competitive aspect so you can always strive to improve.

Mmorpg has raids to gear up in the best items, most guilds never finish the raids before new ones come out, but if they do then sure you are in the same boat as d3.

Problem is that d3 isn't skilful, nor challenging.I still enjoy playing it at the moment as I have characters I have not geared yet, but once I do I can't really see what will keep me playing to be honest so I get his point.

Got my first RROG drop today after reading this thread so thought I share it. Sorry if it has already been posted. Before this I did A1T1 54 times and no ring. Today I did it on expert and master level only.

here

Basically try your best to avoid opening chest, shrines, etc., killing elites, etc. unless it is part of the objective. Save up your probability for a legend in the caches.

Good luck
