don't know about the paper but still

Arturo Vidal has agreed a deal to join Manchester United as the Red Devils close in on the £31.8m transfer of the Chilean. Vidal is keen to move to the Premier League, while Juventus will swoop for Tottenham's Paulinho as a replacement.

Things are looking pretty positive for United the last few weeks. New kit deal, new manager, tons of money coming in, sold out season tkts. Rumours of some decent signings.
Grrrrr!!!
At least they have a horrible kit and no champs league (had to get something in!)

He originally played there didn't he? He has been playing CM for the last few seasons though.

When ive watched juve he's always been up the right hand flank. Sometimes from wing back which is where he played frequently previously.

Im pretty sure pirlo and pogba play cm roles at juve and vidal on the right. Not as a holding cm.

He is NOT a wing back. End.

He's a box to box (central) midfielder. He's everywhere.

He is at heart. Sure rafael can play cm box to box when hes not injured. And Chile might play him there Because he's better tyan 9/10 other players and has energy. But that's not where he plays week in and out club foitball.

Don't they play 352 with Pirlo, Pogba and Vidal as the CMs? Aren't Asamoah and Lichtsteiner the wide players?

look at that, or any of dozens of games. Look at tactical formation starting and average(you may need to click on the live tab/button, then formation options come up when you click on it below the box). In almost no game is Vidal ever playing right wing, right back or right wing back.

It would be particularly hard because

http://www.espnfc.com/player/33644/stephan-lichtsteiner

This guy started 25 games this season, 28 the year before, and he's the right midfielder/right wing back/right back.

They play 3-5-2 and LIchsteiner is the right sided player. Vidal and Pogba seem to play the box to box roles with either Pirlo or Marchisio in between them. In the 10 or so games this guy didn't play right wing/right wing back....

http://www.espnfc.com/player/113574/mauricio-isla?season=2013 this guy did...who you might recognise as he played on the right of Vidal for Chile as well,

http://www.espnfc.com/gamecast/377157/gamecast.html

in this game Isla playing wide right with Vidal still a central midfielder. He may be the right side of a central midfield three but he plays basically the same role he did for Chile.

So Vidal effectively never starts on the right, his average position isn't on the right, he never starts at right back and there is always one of two(usually) players who start wide right with him... in the middle.

No he's not.

He plays in the modern 3 man central midfield

Pirlo deep lying playmaker flanked either side by Pogba and Vidal

Or are you watching on an old CRT none widescreen tv so you don't get to see the fullbacks pushing on
