Is Kroos actually leaving? I can't imagine Pep would be that stupid. Just won the world cup with Germany, surely you've got to hold onto him. Unless he want's to go to Madrid..he might do actually

Kroos had very little time left on his contract and wanted to leave by all accounts. Rumours that Bayern didn't want to pay him what he wanted. We may have backed out but as soon as Madrid came knocking we would have had to hope that the deal was finished and he was in England already.

In light of recent reports, I'll just dig this out from the January thread..

Another plays golf with someone at management level at Liverpool and reckons we are absolutely nailed on to sign Zakaria Bakkali (supposedly in Jan, but guess could be summer), who is apparently a 17yr old wonderkid at PSV. Personally, i'd never heard of him..

Mourinho signs players just to stop other teams from having them. He did it last year with Willian. Stepped in to sign him at the last minute just to stop Spurs getting him.

If he thinks Arsenal will be a threat with Khedira, he'll try and sign him!

Chelsea could have exercised their option on Lazar Markovic and bought him for £15m, but they passed, and he's gone to Liverpool. Chelsea don't need him in the squad right now, but £15m would have been a decent buy and they could have sent him out on loan. If Mourinho was out to stop other teams strengthening then he could certainly have bought him.

I don't buy that Chelsea would buy players just to stop a rival getting them - it's poor business. After all, they sold Mata to Man U last season (Man U will obviously be a title rival in the future). As for the two recent cases where Chelsea have supposedly 'hijacked' transfers - Willian has been a stellar player for Chelsea so far, and Salah gives marketing inroads into the middle east. Both have clear value to Chelsea, they weren't bought just to spite another top club.

Rivière signed up too, not 100% convinced on him but should be a decent backup.

One more striker and a CB and that's a great summer.

Can't believe how fast we we moving.

He only has a year left on his contract. There is a buy out clause in his current contract but i don't think Real want to pay it if he is a free agent next season.

The bookies still think that both are on

Bookies odds have nothing to do with reality on transfers they are just based on what people are betting on which is based on the gossip/lies printed in the press and circulated by attention seekers on twitter.

The only time odds are a good indication is right at the death when they tumble as in the know individuals slap loads of money on for a quick profit at which point betting gets quickly suspended.

Football fans in the summer break are a nightmare they will swallow any old rubbish and then over analyse it until they are sure there club will either win the title or is fast going bust!

I'm delighted that this transfer window I don't want any Spurs transfers, in or out, other than a left back.

This must be the first relaxing transfer window ever for spurs!

Rumours are that Paulinho and Vertonghen will go; I don't care as they are both meh players. We would have to bring in a replacement for Vertonghen but that shouldn't be too hard.

In terms of left back, we could pick up a championship level player and they would be an improvement.

I'm more excited about Pochettino working his magic and getting a team formed out of the squad. Dembele, Lamela, Soldado, Eriksen, Sandro, Lloris and Walker all playing to their full potential/ability would be great to watch.
