I'm delighted that this transfer window I don't want any Spurs transfers, in or out, other than a left back.

This must be the first relaxing transfer window ever for spurs!

Rumours are that Paulinho and Vertonghen will go; I don't care as they are both meh players. We would have to bring in a replacement for Vertonghen but that shouldn't be too hard.

In terms of left back, we could pick up a championship level player and they would be an improvement.

I'm more excited about Pochettino working his magic and getting a team formed out of the squad. Dembele, Lamela, Soldado, Eriksen, Sandro, Lloris and Walker all playing to their full potential/ability would be great to watch.

Will be interesting to see how the Poch adapts to Spurs he's got a lot of expectation on his shoulders and a chairman with a very itchy trigger finger. If he sticks to the same game plan as he had at Sints you will need players with great engines as he certainly makes them work!

Still disappointed he left the Saints but things are looking up on the south coast got a couple of decent players in and a high profile manager that was just what we needed to steady the ship.

Real have a got a good deal there. His wages don't seem that bad for them either. I am shocked Utd didn't pursue the deal. They were willing to pay that much for Shaw but not Kroos? I find that hard to believe tbh. My only thoughts are possibly LVG is considering a back 3 with Shaw as a left wingback and maybe Valencia on the right hence why he got him extended so quickly - maybe in a similar role to that Kuyt played for the Dutch in the World Cup. On another note nice to see Birmingham City doing nothing interesting as usual I guess we'll take a load of kids Man Utd don't want on loan again ... I do wonder why I keep going year on year sometimes. But I still do - could be worse we could have got Keane as our Asst Man.

One of the Spanish papers has reported that Khedira has had a U-Turn on his thinking and has decided to stay at Real - although that would seem odd to me especially as they have just picked up Kroos.

Could this be a sign that Di Maria is on the way out?

Rivière signed up too, not 100% convinced on him but should be a decent backup.

One more striker and a CB and that's a great summer.

Can't believe how fast we we moving.

I'm not sure we'll sign a CB unless Mbiwa is moved on. We could do with an improvement in that area, sure, but I don't think it is priority at the moment. I'd much rather see us sign a left-winger - unless Pards plans to use Cabella there we still only really have Gouff in that position.

But to really round off a great summer we need to break the bank for a proven goalscoring striker. We're being linked with Benteke at the moment...I would literally wet myself if we got him.

Yes, quite strongly linked, but PSG the more likely destination.

Are PSG not out of the transfer market for this window unless they sell players? I'm sure I read somewhere that they had an enforced limit of £50m net - which has already been taken up by Luiz.

I think they are in a position where they need to sell so they can buy, which is why Cavani was being touted.

That could all be ******** I guess.

I thought the PSG line was "**** FFP, come at me bro"?

Perhaps, but I don't think PSG care.

Where does it say that? Remember to take into account amortisation...

I've never seen that document before - I'm recalling something I have read from an unknown third party somewhere / or may have dreamed.

However bullet point 4 would appear to cover it, without actually providing figures.

"PSG agrees to significantly limit spending in the transfer market for seasons 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. PSG further accepts a calculated limitation on the number of new registrations it may include within their “A” List for the purposes of participation in UEFA competitions. This calculation is based on the clubs net transfer position in each respective registration period covered by this agreement"

I dont think spunking £50m on David Luiz and I guess £40m on Angel Di Maria counts as significantly limiting.

They have a ridiculously large number of top midfielders

Khediera
Modric
Alonso
Isco
Kroos
Di Maria
Bale
Illaramendi

Bar stewards. Share the wealth!

Missed out one smaller name and one HUGE name there ;)

All the more silly is that Arsenal have a larger number of frequently used central and wide midfielders, more than Real. Not all of the same quality, but not that far off either.

Not sure if Alonso is done and will be moved on or they'll try and keep him for another couple years cutting down his and increasing Illaramendi's play time. They really gave him almost no games after he played a blinder the season before they bought him for 30 or 40mil.

So cut out Alonso, add Ronaldo and you've got 8 players for 5 positions. Not exactly insane is it, they've got Casemiro as well but he didn't look great and looks like he might be heading out on loan.

If Alonso is staying at Real for a while longer, Mendi might well be available on loan, as a long term replacement to Alonso another season barely playing is not going to help so they'd probably jump at the chance to have him play 30+ games elsewhere.

Are you talking about Ronaldo? He is a forward for the most part these days and is listed as so on the Madrid team list. Who else have I missed?
