Getting on ! To those over 40yr olds.

48, too tired to give a complete answer and my back hurts quite a lot of the time which will probably stop any nascent plans to start growing vege in my garden.

I used to climb as well..and looking back the risks we took were daft and you wouldnt think of doing them now

I wouldnt do it now!

To be fair I find Crib Goch as fun in (reasonably) strong wind now as I did twenty years ago...

Still brown trouser moments every time.

I'm not actually over 40, but something I've noticed is that older woman are increasingly attractive these days. Just watching Let's Do Lunch with Gino & Mel, and Mel still has it. Is it genuinely that women now look after themselves a lot better than used to, or is it just our perceptions change as we get older? I know my parents (late 60s) don't look as old as my grandparents when they were that age.

I was talking to a pal the other day and we realised that the window of attractiveness for women has never been wider given our now advancing age. 20s to 50s is all good. When you are 20, 17 seems too young and 25 is ancient.

(disclaimer: no love, I am not looking at other women, it was Jon, he made me say it)

I'm 41 now and can't say I feel any different. In fact I am fitter and trimmer than I have been since my 20's due my current running regime clocking up around 16 miles a week :)

Never really been one for loud music or clubbing though so that will never change. Enjoy a spirited drive in a fast car now and again though :)

I'm 40 in september.

Physically, need to drop some weight from last few years carrying a knee injury.

My senses are still good.

The weird acceleration of nasal hair growth caught me by surprise.

Most interestingly, that I'm not the oldest on these forums:eek:

I have a close and healthy relationship with my family and handful of friends.

I still drive at pace.

My musical tastes are broad, and I still like it loud!

I still date, currently hanging out with a 27 year old. Before her was a 36 year old woman. The manger at local Costa Coffee( Hungarian with the blue eyes,) is showing interest.

I'm not 40 myself but I see it totally different. I'm 30 myself, the older women are going from late 20's onwards, the fatter they are getting. And I'm not talking women you see on TV but the women I physically meet while travelling around the UK for my job.

You do get the odd few but on the whole many need to loose a few stone.

Sounds like you may be talking to plebby women. Around here they are all at the gym twice a day to keep their bodies (and pelvic floors) tight.

Same as you with the driving op, getting more and more cautious, I also find myself more tolerant, if someone chopped me up back in the day I'd be ranting and raving now I couldn't care less.

I would say the opposite, looking at young 20 something's these days and I would say the majority of them are overweight, whilst 30s tend to be in better shape. I guess free time and money comes into it, as I'm certainly in the position now where I've lost a couple of stone got fitter and generally lead a much healthier lifestyle than I did when I was 20.
