lol, Sanogo played through on goal, one on one with the keeper basically.... Boreham Wood..... fluffs it. So in terms of using preseason to get back to the full form... Sanogo's achieved that already :p

He needs a goal so badly. He could be moved on before he gets a single goal at this rate. With our dropping out of rely deal I assume we are bringing back Campbell.

Podolski looks off to Seville which isn't surprising. Good to have about but seems to be a bench player with most teams at a higher level.

Wenger just never trusted him but he ended last season for club and country with 18 goals and 8 assists in 24 starts/10 subs which is excellent.

he's an excellent player but was hurt both by Giroud being turd and Wenger dropping him often. Selling Cazorla, when we have a billion players who can play centrally, makes so much more sense. Without Podolski we'll be back to Sanchez, Walcott, Santi... potentially Campbell. We have really no idea how Campbell might do in the league nor where he'd play best. With Walcott being injury prone and a bit of a girl anyway. It leaves us light of wide players again. Selling Santi and keeping Podolski gives us two top wide attackers, Walcott, and potentially Campbell to get some games and hopefully improve over time/prove a good sub option for a while. if Campbell became very good then you could think about letting Podolski go.

Is podolski truly a wide attacker though? I thought he was a striker that can 'do a job' which isn't good enough.

Is no one else wondering if 14 million for borini is a really bad price to pay ?

Depends how you look at it. Compare him to Lallana:

Last season:

Borini played 40, scored 10, age 23, cost £14m

Lallana played 42, scored 10, age 26, cost £25m

Doesn't seem that bad without the English Passport tax, especially considering Sunderland played him as a left winger last season.

He was brilliant wide left with Klose upfront and Muller on the right. He can play there, he comes in a lot but that's a good thing. But when the guy infront of you is Giroud. There were games his interplay was good, Giroud that is, and other players can get involved, but too many games that Giroud couldn't find a team mate to save his life and our wide players were left basically isolated.

I think he can play either, but that is another thing, Santi can't play upfront, Podolski can. Selling caz and keeping Pod gives us that option also. Selling Pod and we don't even have that option. I'd love to see us try Pod upfront with Sanchez and, I guess Walcott out wide.

In reality Pod should go, he didn't become a Wenger favourite, so no matter how great he is in a game, no matter the form he shows, Wenger will still drop him. He deserves a damn sight better than 14 league starts so would be happy in that sense to see him sold.

The potential for a future team of an as yet unsigned striker... a good one, Podolski wide left, Sanchez wide right, Ozil in the middle with Wilshire/Flamini in central mid.... is very appealing.

Not seen us linked to another striker though for a while, only midfielders. I would like a proper DM but if they were going to get someone like the Madrid player I would have preferred fabregas instead.

We still need a goalie, probably at least one more CB, a DM, and a striker. Bonus if we got another fullback too.

Its not James Rodriguez, he ruled himself out of ever going to the premiership. It could be Di Maria I suppose 1+1=3 and all that with Real wanting to offload to raise the cash for Rodriguez. But would Di Maria be 'incredible'? Not for me. Incredible would be Reus, Muller, Neymar, Zlatan. Speaking of Real, I wouldnt mind Isco if they raising cash :D

Not strictly true - He ruled out the EPL currently because of his build, not "ever"

He doesn't score enough and as above, I'm not sure he'll do well in the PL

He's been playing in the midfield for Real Madrid though this past season. He actually looks better there, either as a standard winger or as a box to box, left of middle 3. He's a got a great engine. Can play either wing in an attacking role, can play behind the front man/front 2 and gets a bunch of assists. He slotted it away cooley against the Swiss as well in the 90th minute..and was motm in the champions league final. He'd be a quality signing. Pool just need to make sure he's a proper footballer, loves it no matter where he is. If he sulks because he's left Madrid then obviously you might get half the player.
It's like Arsenal getting Ozil and Sanchez. Undervalued because the club want someone else..
