It looks like Lovren to Liverpool will be completed in the next few days. Fee being reported at anything between £16m and £18m.

Hopefully he can add a bit of leadership and organisation to our back line.
Wouldn't surprise me if they were being serious :p

Didn't he come off injured?

Yea, he came off as a precaution after 20 minutes.

Just watched Ed Woodward's extended interview on MUTV, he's pretty much confirmed we're working on various transfer targets and we have the finances to do things that other clubs can't. Our goal is to win the league as quickly as possible, not just top four.

Interestingly, he said he doesn't want to see the best players in the world going to the Spanish clubs, he thinks we should be buying them. We have no fixed budget.

Also said he's expecting a few players to leave. He came across very well, but talk is cheap, hopefully he won't let us down.

got a video link if possible?

Interstingly Collymore tweetd at 7.35 that United will sign Vidal for £45m. Tweet since deleted

Probably because Collymore is a complete idiot and has no more insight in to any Man.U. signings than anyone on here has so he decided to wind his long neck in.
Probably not intersting at all.

Well it's pretty interesting if your a Utd fan. I'd suggest Collymore has his ears closer to the ground than at least one or two members on here ;)

Then Man.U. fans are mental if they find anything he says regarding transfers interesting.
He undoubtedly has good contacts within the footballing world, he won't be the 1st place Man.U. fans hear about any transfer facts though.

This contradicts your first statement a bit ;)

Doubt anyone is taking what he says seriously though, but I'm sure he knows more about transfer news than anybody on these boards.

Getting back into the top four has to be the first goal or you simply won't attract the best players. Barca, Madrid or utd... Utd don't have the same appeal at the moment for the best players. They couldn't even attract Fabregas.

If you want to win things then chelski and city unfortunately are better options.

French papers saying that Drogba will sign for Chelsea next week.

I'd love to see Drogba back, as a coach for Lukaku and as a third striker to make a few late sub appearances. He's getting on, yes, but I think there's still place for Drogba - seeing 18 stone of Drogba come charging on at 75mins would give a tired defence something to think about!

Well if he does nothing else but play against us (Arsenal) then those 6pts will be worth the fee alone right? :p

I expect the truth is somewhere in between - with Carrick out and DM being a problem position, the likes of Vidal are going to be needed regardless.

I expect him to wait longer to address the wings and central defence, but not too long.

I've not been paying too much attention, what's going on with Vidal. When I check this thread from time to time he's either definitely joining Utd or defineltly not.

Are the links just the usual twitter nonsense?

It's difficult to say, obviously United need strengthening badly in that position and he would be the obvious target. But after the disaster of last summer they seem to be sensibly, playing their cards close to their chest.
