The Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

We followed Nexus on Friday night into a DICE test server, the reg for that seemed brilliant. Best I have found it, so whatever fix they implemented I hope they release it fully.

I echo Nexus though, the DT maps are meh, the game is feeling very stale now nearly 500h into it and I think I need to break from it for a while.

I can honestly say when GTAV does get released I will be dropping BF4 like a hot potato.

I've been getting the occasional stuttering.... I'm wondering if it could have been my cpu getting a bit toasty in all this hot weather.

over the weekend I did an intel burn test on my 3770k and it topped out at 91oC ....which is what I was getting originally BEFORE I did the de-lid and used liquid metal pro all round.

took the h80- block off and humm..... wasn't liquid any more xD stuff on the IHS inside though was still liquid.... mostly took a while with some industrial meths (mentholated spirits.... not the moreish kind.. ) and the little scourer pad that came with the liquid pro... think it was only for roughing up the surface but with some elbow grease it rid the h80 and cpu HS quite nicely of the dried up gunk!

cleaned the actual chip with just cotton wool buds, was still a little bit of residue on it but I didn't really want to apply too much pressure or anything to damage the chip. but all reapplied and everything was dusted out too..

after a run of IBT on very high settings with a room temp of about 26oC I was maxing out at 68oC muchos better!!!!!

might help? have yet to try.... probably did nothing for BF4.... probably just the game xD POS

I didn't play any FPS for about 6 months and started again when Greg yoinked me over to the MLG lads forums. So I'm still (excuse the pun) extremely rusty and getting a bit more competent each time I play. Nowhere near BF3 (or previous games) levels of aim / tracking though .

Having played GTA V on Xbox I really hate the new online mechanics, the money system is unnecessary and annoying. The Bad Sport system is ridiculous, it's a GTA game ffs!

If they had a Classic mode which had the style of GTA IV Free Mode but with the new guns and cars and map and features, I would be a much happier bunny.

And any servers that are left:

- 1 or 2/3 maps only
- fast spawn
- stupidly high tickets



Close quarter and aftermath maps/servers are pretty much dead too, shame as I loved them!

Aftermath and Endgame were brilliant. I loved going around with the Aftermath jeeps, those things honestly destroyed with the grenade launcher if you used them properly.

Then again I've always loved using transport vehicles, mixes it up. Once in a transport on Firestorm, with me piloting, friend went 80-7

Not had any stutter that's for sure - single nvidia card FTW. Regarding lag, could just be the servers im on cause it's not my connection.

Well got went on battlefield 4 campaign and getting the very same lag/pause like online.

So I am thinking drivers or some software I have messing with bf4/

Testing bf3 now.

I've not had any issues either, no lag, stutter, just a capped 120fps goodness.

Nearly done all the DT assignments too, just need the EOD bot destroy and a couple more hours and I'm done.

Well bf3 online 64 player smooth gameplay

So something up with just bf4.
My sound also some times dies only on bf4 so many my sound causing problems lol

Its quite amusing running round chasing and 'repairing' enemy players.

Its for the 'Remote Operator' assignment, Tanks keep seeing me coming, need to find a jeep or something I think.
