Water flossers?

Corsodyl Daily Gum & Tooth Paste - This stuff?

Yea it is quite expensive for the tiny 75ml around £4 or £5 but i reckon it is worth it. You will know once you use it i bet you wont go back to anything else. Corsodyl daily tothpaste second link down on google should show you where i buy mine from. If you find it cheaper let me know because it and Colgate peroxyl mouthwash are the two luxurys i fork out on without grumbling.

They are both expensive but i swear, Amazing.

I got a Philips Airfloss for Christmas last year as I hate flossing. Just had a check up with the dentist on Tuesday and she commented on how good my teeth were, very little plaque or tartar build up.

I use the Airfloss every evening and fill it with mouthwash as opposed to water, definitely worth it I think. Takes under a minute to go through all my teeth. Also very good if you ever get anything stuck in your teeth, blows it right out of there!

Every dentist i've been too as part of a clean, still used floss, and not the high pressure water. So flossing must still be better.

Why not just floss?

Using a Airfloss, or similar, is a hell of a lot quicker and easier than flossing. I have quite cramped teeth in places too which makes getting floss in there pretty hard.

I don't doubt actually flossing is actually better, but I think the Airfloss is a good compromise and given it is so easy to do means I do it every night as opposed to every now and then with traditional flossing.

So...what you're basically saying is you're too lazy to floss?

Mine has a separate hygienist and she uses both, one after the other.
The jet is for any tartar/plaque buildup.

If these are half as good as the Corsodyl daily toothpaste with the mineral grit i got then i will be amazed.
'Mineral grit'?
Sounds like pumice... Used to sear the teeth, allowing the fluoride to penetrate.
They were issuing that to soldiers back in the Vietnam War!!

Ermmm. Are you quite sure she wasn't using a scaler to remove the tartar, rather than a water jet? An ultrasonic scaling device, with a tip, using copious amounts of water for cooling and irrigation?
Rather than just blasting a bit of water around?
Water will not dislodge tartar, it will help with plaque, but not tartar.

I use the flossette things. Got a years supply for £30. Nice long handle so I can access every gap and cheap as well.

Hmmm... Could well be. She just calls it the jet washer...
Do you get the choice of a lollipop or a sticker at the end? :p

The next moment she mentions the jet washer one must simply reply

"It must take you ages to clean your jet with that, I've always wanted to join the mile high club"
