I'll be honest, I buy on warranty length, rather than opinion a lot of the time. WD seem to be held in high regard and have a long warranty, double win!

It's the reaons I went WD for my USB3 portable drive, rather than seagate or samsung.

Still no news...at a loss as this not being available in Europe, is there some issue with reliability? It's in pretty short supply in the US but has been available through official channels for 4 months.

They are available in europe... both the Western Digital & Seagate 6TB drives are in stock in Switz

The WD is significantly cheaper though... 280CHF (about £190) vs 550-600CHF for the Seagate!!!

Hi mate,
Was referring to the consumer grade 6TB from Seagate, the enterprise one has been available for a couple of months here widespread but at £400 a pop, not really good bang for buck for storing media of dubious nature

Thanks for the heads up though, will have a look at that WD
