ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

Kurdistan.
Where are they bombing the rebels in Syria? Indeed they were trying to support them, but even since they determined that they shouldn't support them, they haven't exactly helped the Syrian regime to kick out the rebels either, thus causing a death toll to rise as the fighting goes on for another year.

Since when has the west stopped supporting Syrian rebels (in the form of the FSA)? If there was military action to occur there the main target would more likely be taken against the Syrian regime... given the attacks on civilians, use of barrel bombs.

Look how many England let in and how much they get away with. I cannot imagine Scotland or NI doing to same. No offence but England/Wales have had a reputation for a while of being soft. There are simply too many cocky Asian youths running around. Remember the American who had his face smashed in? Then you have Rigby, Bombings, Jihadi flags.

Sorry but after Rigby i thought the line was crossed but apparantly not yet.

The Irony in all this is that all the western meddling and influence in the middle East helped weaken the countries affected by this ISIS virus to the point where they had the ability to take control of certain areas.

This is a problem that happens time and time again from the creation of Al-Qaeda who were originally under a different name fighting against the soviets funded by the US too the current situation in which the US/UK are involving themselves in situations in the East that they should have no part it.

Now we have this entire mess destablizing the Middle East for the most part caused by Western influence as I said. The sad part is we may have no ****ing choice but to apply plasters in the future before it spills over and creates further problems.

The worst thing that could happen right now is Israel continuing to weaken Palestine and its government because the last place we want ISIS is Palestine! The East is falling like domino's and half the population wonder why pfft. If everyone read there history they would know why.

ITS like the world does not learn from its mistakes.

Its utterly depressing.

scotland is the same, remember the idiots driving into airport?plenty of idiots in syria from north of the border.

you're a few years out of date - that Iraqi govt got replaced in 2006 by an elected one...

After $1 trillion, 150,000 troops, 4,500 of them dying - I should think the US would be pretty unlucky to not have a strong influence in the politics of Iraq.

yup - it is rather unlucky for them

Iran has seemingly gained in that area... the US couldn't previously get agreements signed off on troops staying and hasn't been able to get the Iraqi govt to stop marginalising the Sunni groups... more diplomacy is needed in that area really, the US certainly shouldn't be drawn into a full on offensive on behalf of the Iraqi regime

Yea easy as that init! That's why its happened so often... oh wait.

it doesn't happen becaus uranium isn';t just left laying around for terrorists to take

obviously any country that ever sold nuclear materials to any terrorist group would get raped by so it doesn't happen

bet most the muslim extremists in this country brainwashing others to go and fight for isis were probably immigrants from iraq etc as well, soft touch borders...

I don't know how effective a dirty bomb the 40kg of uranium would make, probably more the havoc and financial implications such an attack would have on the target country.

it is pretty worrying... load it onto a shipping container and send to London or NYC :(

I really hope if they have the material to do it they're tracked down and stopped
