ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

B&W is just another Muslim apologist. Let's not forget that if the shoe was on the other foot - if America was Muslim (but still the dominant superpower) - we'd all be Muslim by now. Christianity would have been wiped out long ago.

Let's not forget how badly non-muslims are treated in muslim countries. They are 2nd class citizens at best, and cannot win legal action against muslims, etc, etc, etc.

Oh and where do all these British extremists come from? Is it not from so-called moderate muslim households? They aren't born extremists. And how many so-called moderates will alert authorities if they suspect extremist teachings? Yeah, it doesn't work like that. They are all "brothers" and cover for each other. The only way radical preachers are found is when MI5 is keeping tabs on them. Otherwise they find no shortage of mosques willing to let them preach.

And why if only 3rd world countries support extremism does Saudi Arabia and Qatar back ISIS? Why do German muslims attack Yizidi protestors in German streets?

All true! If you ignore history and current events around the world.

For the last two hundred years (and still going) we had/Christian missionaries going round the world trying to convert others to Christianity. Why do you think there are so many Christians in Africa, in South America and even Asia (Philippines for example)?

How about non Muslim genocide and persecution of Muslims. Not just in Israel but places like Burma/Myanmar where it is currently happening, or modern history like the 1990s genocides against Muslims, perpetrated by Christians. How about another even more extreme version, the Rwandan genocide, perpetrated by Christian Hutus, where they massacred up to 1 million people in a three month period with machetes...

Obviously all this problem is caused by Islam and only Islam... Nothing to do with mentalists using it to further their cause.

why not? you do it with the Israelis....

No he doesn't - he and many pro-palestinian posters clearly differentiate between judaism, Israel and zionism.

Unlike the usual numpties here branding all Muslims evil and going round and round in circles on every page in this thread.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It's the same parp in every thread remotely related to Islam / Muslims. Then they have the cheek to wonder why muslamics don't speak up

According to a poll of 600 Muslim and 800 non-Muslim students at thirty universities throughout the UK conducted by the Centre for Social Cohesion (CSC), as reported ref B, 32 percent of Muslims on UK campuses believe killing in the name of religion is justified, 54 percent wanted a Muslim Party to represent their world view in Parliament, and 40 percent want Muslims in the UK to be under Sharia law. Only 2 percent of non-Muslims felt killing in the name of religion could be justified and none believed it was acceptable for Muslims in the UK to have a religious-based party, or to be under Sharia law.

Just mentalists, huh? Well tell me why muslim university students want Sharia law in Britain and believe killing for Islam is right? For as many as 40% to want this is absolutely shocking. 54% also want a Muslim political party to represent them.

Is that why the ottoman empire had many Christian and Jewish subjects and why there are still non Muslims in Muslim countries. If it was all die or convert then surely they would all be Muslims.

I agree non Muslims aren't treated well in Muslim countries aswell as many other things that aren't as they should be.

Many terror attacks have been foiled due to people in the community informing security services.

There is a problem with extremism so these things will happen, if it was accepted as majority view then you'd see a Much wider problem directly affecting us everyday.

How many Christians would want a party to represent them, bearing in mind many parties in Europe have "Christian" in the name? Let's not think about the US where Christian fundimentalism is highest in the western world.

Out of interest do you have a link to the actual survey? For example are the muslims all British students? Did they do surveys questioning other religions in a similar vein? Even how many of the non Muslims were religious?

Doesn't mean nothing, questions can be worded in various ways. Try speaking to a Muslim next time you see one, you might Find out something instead of trawling the internet looking for things that back up what you want to believe.

LOL wondered how long it'd be before the "Christianity is just as bad" argument cropped up

it was...but we got it out of our system in the intervening 12 centuries or so so the burnings for being a heretic stopped eventually

islam has never moved on from its origins and seems unwilling or unable to adapt to a changing world and attitudes

Socialist worker types make up the majority of most protests, be that council workers pay, student fees or austerity. We should ignore those protests as well then.

sorry, I appear to have misunderstood, it's an anti foreigner agenda rather than islamophobia then?

It's about a difference in culture of supporting people who just happen to worship the same god as you regardless of what they do or how many people they behead in the name of said religion.

The ability to reason is lost in these people as they are told to follow the book and not think beyond it.

There are also many that would like to see their interpretation of Biblical law enforced.

The OP I just linked seems like a nice chap, doesn't he? Let's see...

So anyone who doesn't worship the Christian god is bad, ok. What's the punishment?

GENOCIDE. ENTIRE CITIES OF MEN WOMEN CHILDREN AND ANIMALS WIPED OUT.

Also don't forget to sometimes leave the girls so you can sexually assault them later.

Search around the internet and you can find anything you want. Including Christian extremists. Like you have done so. There are religious nuts in every religion. Ofc I find that forum and that thread deeply disturbing and disagree with it whole heartedly.

However, saying, 'this is how I interpret the Bible and this is what I want' on an internet forum is vastly different to actually going out and enforcing / doing it.. When's the last time you heard of Christians running around committing genocide in the name of ze baby Jebus?

We did in many moons ago, and got over it. Moved on. Something that current people are struggling to do, but will hopefully do one day.

This argument always confuses me as on the whole as a percentage I would say there are far more extremist Muslims than Christians.

It is true you get fruit loops in all religions, but there is something about Islam that makes these numbers far greater than other religions. It's a shame for the moderate muslims because they really do suffer because of the others.

These people want to do it but are unable to, due to the circumstances they are in. If they lived in a different society where they think they could actually enforce it, they would.

They also mention about how anyone with a holy image (such as a small statue of Jesus) should be forced to eat their children, and then be executed. Lovely eh?

And there are many cases of Christians shooting abortion doctors (just one example) as they believe they are breaking the sacred commandment, Thou shalt not kill.

Wasn't really an argument, plus also I was getting at this point. It took Mr 'tbyea' trawling the interent to find an example of a Christian extremist (one would argue it's a Christian extremist forum). Whilst numerous people could name many examples, off the cuff, of modern day Islamic extremity.
