Nice to see Kaap making room for X99 though

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

It's inbetween real 3.0 and 2.0
You wouldn't get all cards 16x regardless mate, only 2 the 3rd card would knock the lanes to 16/16/8

Really? Huh. I was under the impression X79 gave you x16 on all slots. Ah well i guess it won't matter too much. The main thing is I'll have a better chance at competing in some of the bench threads now.
Kaap says it's not a great clocker, but it can go up to 4.9ghz so hopefully i can settle around 4.5 or so for day to day.
Yeah, not for long though.
5960x will sort that out lol.
You only get 40 (iirc) pci-e lanes so you'd never get 16x for 3/4.
IIRC, there was a few TriFire guys who got this working without issue.
Will try and find the threads to link.
Be nice to see if it works well for XDMA as I couldn't get tri 7970 working using that slot either. Easier for the main 4 as you can turn them off.
X79 is easy, much better than Z**
Tweakers paradise![]()
Added Clovis as well, will give it a day or so before changing Matt's entry in case he changes his mind.![]()

Hehe, not going to happen bud. Pretty happy with TriFire and now i must resist temptation to add a fourth card lol.![]()

There's one on the MM for £180! Must resist buying a fourth too![]()
Stop the press!
Kaap is doing me a kindness, so it looks like i may be going X79 instead and will refuse delivery of the 3770K.
