Yup! the 6 set bonus on the PTR give a 3000% wep dmg dot that when you get it to 3000, sticks on the mob until its dead. You can get some insane dot ticks now, ive personally seen 120mil ticks on my ptr wiz!!! :D

Ive been farming the backside out of firebirds the last week or so, have about 20 parts now of different slots. I'm just going to keep at it until the patch.

Wow, is that going to come to live too or do you think Bliz will nerf it?

I take it the changes to the firebirds set are retroactive then.

Thanks for posting the build of your Wiz, my Wiz sucks so any inspiration is welcome :D
 
Kadala gave me firebirds source last night. That's me onto 3 pieces now, I did get a 4th but it was a worse chest than I have. My luck with any item I try to get is the same as always... terrible!
 
Hang on to all the bits for now if you have the stash space as things are changing fast on the ptr. On my live char i linked the blizzard skill has been changed on ptr to a fire skill. The changes are retroactive! I'm not sure if I'll keep my current setup yet but the synergy between the items I'm using works really well.
 
Are the item/set changes going to effect CURRENT items (or will they become Legacy?). Likewise, will you need to have the items dropped AFTER 2.1 hits?

Nope when the patch hits they will just update the set bonus on what ever you have in your stash. Same re rolls and stats, as if it dropped post patch.

Only item changes I know of that are applied retroactively are the 2handers. Set bonuses will also apply to existing sets.

New legendary powers like the one in vile ward, leorics crown and etc needs to be be found after 2.1

Repeat.

That's it I am affraid. But as per above from Messiah, he's had a few pieces from Kadala and I got my source from her last night so she does drop them for us pretty well.

I have 2 wiz's at the mo, 1 is setup for maximum speed farmage! :D

I basically farm T2 A1 bounties really quickly (sometimes a few mins to get all 5 done, depending on the maps) and then spend the frags on rift it forward and gamble the proceeds for firebirds. I join all the RiF even if I have to pay for a t4 etc, I just get blood shards as quick as possible and then gamble them for firebirds.

Sometimes I get lucky and get a bit from the bounties or from the rift guardian drops.

Ive had 4 RROG doing this too!

It's boring but I have seen the grass on the other side (ptr) and it's defo greener :D
 
Got some kadala love this weekend, from friday night i collected 5 pieces of marauders set - already had the RoRG to go with them :D

One piece as a drop, the others from kadala, shocked - she never gave me any love with my barbarian playing over a week lol.
 
Kadala is definitely in a good mood. That's a good few people I know of now from friends and clan list who got multiple items off her over this weekend when they have previously had 0 or very few items over the course of months! haha.

I'm tempted to farm shards for her the next few nights rather than do rifts because I am getting nothing from them, only 2 items i got decent over thw whole weekend were from her.
 
So my console version of D3 should be arriving tomorrow!
Curious to see how it plays with a controller, apparently its a more social game (within a household) so maybe ill play it with friends that come round, nothing to serious.

Im assuming there wont be an Xbox one Overclockers clan and if there isn't ill set one up! (providing you get clans in the console version, which i think you do)
